I ate here for lunch with friends and remembered that I had not been here for at least 5 years ago or more. The place has changed with a pretty courtyard patio that seats a gracious many people with fans cooling you off as you eat. I ordered a Turkey Reuben to go which my husband pronounced, one of the best he's eaten in a good while. I ate the tasty chicken salad plate, filled with delicious macaroni salad, a deviled egg, a bunch of grapes, slices of tomato and orange as well as chopped chicken salad. . Our Server was Adam, who was fantastic at keeping all of our glasses full of water. Adam was prompt at getting our orders at as well from the kitchen. He was spot on for everything. adding baskets of crackers to go with some of our salads. The others loved their sandwiches and salad plates too!! For desert, I purchased one of their homemade Pralines, a slice of heaven if I say so myself. .
I've been coming here for years. Never ever disappointed at all. The sandwiches are always great, the beer always cold and service is very good.

Great local deli that's been here seemingly forever. Love coming here and enjoying the low key atmosphere. Beer selection is awesome and you can get singles or build your own 6 pack.
This is an excellent sandwich shop that the hubs and I hit after hiking. We completely undid all the good the hike did because the food was fantastic. I had a Reuben, macaroni salad, potato soup, and a Truck Stop Honey Brown. We bought hard root beer to take home. We're quickly becoming regulars.
I have been eating at Diplomat Deli regularly for around 20 years! I ALWAYS get the Estate (chicken salad) on pumpernickel bread. It's my very favorite! After each of my three children were born, this is what I requested as my "first meal!" ;-)
The Senator sandwich is my kryptonite. Amazing. The pralines at the counter as also really great. Great price great service.

Really?. Don't get me wrong, the food and service are fine but I was not blown away like some of the other folks providing reviews. I had the diplomat and it was OK - nothing to write home about. I think my favorite thing was the side of coleslaw. I would go back if nearby but certainly wouldn't travel out of my way to eat here.
In a City Devoid of Good Delis, This Place Is a Treasure. We don't eat here often because it's usually pretty busy and there's not that much seating inside, but when the weather's nice and we're craving some good sandwiches, we'll head here and sit outside on the patio. The food is plentiful and delicious, and the service is always good. The inside could use some updating, but since we don't eat inside, who cares.
I've had the cheese sandwich (it is LOADED with cheese, so beware) and the egg salad, and both were delicious. I always forget that it comes with ruffled chips so I'll order an unnecessary side order, usually their delicious slaw.
If you're craving a hearty sandwich, this is the place to head to.
The food is great here and it has been a local favorite for many years. I have tried so many different things that it is hard to choose a favorite, but I do love their Reuben. They have a big outdoor seating area that is dog friendly, making it a fun place to hang out.

The Chicken Club was off the hook! I enjoyed sitting outside to eat. They have indoor seating too. I wish I could remember the name of the woman who waited on me. She is very good at her job. (I'm writing this many weeks after visiting the Restaurant)

Super lunch today at one of our favorite places in the city. Grilled cheese and a bowl of chili with cheese and onions! The more this place changes, the more it stays the same—- which is fantastic! Great selection of everything and service with a smile.
