AWESOME! The best rooftop experience in Beverly Hills / LA area and I would say in my entire experience... service is 1000% spectacular at every detail. We loved it. Drinks are hand crafted and delicious. The spectacular views are icing on the cake. Don't miss it!
Whether you are a local or a visitor, dining at the Rooftop by JG Restaurant at the Waldorf Astoria is a not-to-be missed outstanding culinary experience.
With sweeping 360-degree views of Downtown, Beverly Hills, Century City, West LA, Bel Air and Holmby Hills and more, it is simply a fantastic place to dine. I grew up in Westwood and drove down Wilshire Boulevard thousands of times and to see it from above is so special, too. The views from this restaurant show the intricate tapestry of Los Angeles architecture from small to mega-sized homes as well as sleek high-rise buildings and hotels. Love it! The weather was balmy today after a rainstorm and the cloud-filled sky was gorgeous.
Meanwhile, we thought that the food is creative, flavorful and absolutely delicious. This was my third visit to this restaurant and today we split a great hamburger with tasty and crispy fries along with a pear and frisée salad that was the perfect compliment to the burger. My husband had the salmon dish which he thoroughly enjoyed. We finished up with a plate of three different cookies which we also split. On our last visit, we had the Cobb Salad that was great, too. The service was attentive and excellent! We definitely appreciated their friendly and professional demeanor. The tables are well-spaced so you can truly enjoy interacting with your friends or family. We prefer al fresco dining these days and this was perfect!
This is definitely my favorite restaurant in Los Angeles. Highly recommended!
My wife and I celebrated her birthday here last night. The food was all amazing and tastefully prepared. Our waiter Drexel made sure we were taken care of, and Gregg GM made our celebration a night to remember. Kudos to you and your team👍👍👍💯
Very exceptional experience - food was absolutely delicious and you cannot beat the view! Sure it's pricey, but to be expected for the location and food. Special shout out to our server who was exceptional in taking care of us and made us feel right at home. Pistachio Guac is the way to go - Overall, Highly recommend.
I am a fan of this place! Love love love! Amazing view and perfect atmosphere at the rooftop of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. A lot of fansy people 😍 Food so delicious 🤤 You must try cheeseburger and burrata here! Cocktails were very good too. The service was nice and friendly.
High above Wilshire and Santa Monica Blvd sits a wonderfully casual fine dining experience: Rooftop by JG! While I found the selection of food to be a little limited, what we had was truly delicious. The outdoor seating at sunset adds to the ambience and the service is always exceptional.
The view is phenomenal and the food is good and the bartender Nicole is awesome. Everyone was dressed their best in cute summer outfits. It was like a perfect photoshoot waiting to happen. All the staff were friendly especially the valet guys. Love it here. Came here a couple times on vacation and would go back.
The rooftop by JG is not only rooftop or restaurant it’s the perfect vibes and atmosphere. I order with my friends grill octopus and burrata for appetizers the were a perfect or awesome 👏. I got the lamps chops and lobsters 🦞 burgers and summer peas fettuccine. For dessert we got tart with ice cream .All foods and views were fair for price we paid: 314$ . I will go back again.
Great atmosphere at the rooftop of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. You must try the lamb chops and the burrata here!
The lamb chops come with yoghurt, cucumber and lime which are excellent pairings.
The steak on the other hand was very ok, nothing special.
We booked for the experience for $150pp the service was good overall but when we wanted to order some more water, there was no one really looking out to see if we needed any. Had to really work to get someone’s attention which took away some of the focus on the meal and friends.
I wouldn’t recommended getting the experience because although it “guarantees an edge seat” we didn’t have an optimal view the first time (luckily changed to somewhere better) but we could’ve gotten similar outcomes without having booked the special experience. It is the same menu and same place and everything, so no added edge, really.
The view is amazing as you could imagine from the rooftop. Open area seating is a breath of fresh air.
The pea soup has a gritty texture. You can taste the pea but it's not overpowering. The salmon is perfectly seared and not over seasoned. The oil and green onion sauce drizzled is an odd selection that doesn't match the rest of the dish. The cookies are a good dessert but they are a little too dense.
You can't get a better atmosphere than dining here.
