Won a gift certificate for the Hampton Winds at the Wine & Food Festival in 2017.
Decided to use it to celebrate our 53rd wedding anniversary and what a great lunch we were served.
Our server named RACHEL was exceptional. Answered numerous questions and served our meal with great skill!
We chose lobster bisque/clam chowder soup duet and black bean/corn chowder combo cleverly serving both in one bowl.
The short ribs with pierogi and the seafood trio were excellent.
This restaurant is operated by the culinary education department of the Hampton Community College and they are being taught well.
I recommend trying the restaurant which I believe is open for service during the school year.
We plan on returning to try the 5 course dinner.
We have been to many of the 5 star restaurants in NYC, NJ, etc., and the Hampton Winds equals them and beyond. The food is of the best quality, the preparation, uniqueness of flavors incredible, and the service is friendly, professional, and extremely accommodating.
And the price is so very reasonable, which amazed all of us considering what the usually cost is at a 5 star establishment. We cannot wait to return.
Hampton Winds is one of our favorite places to go.
To get your spot, you have to think and plan in advance but the wait is always worth the effort.

One of the best culinary experiences in the area! You can't get a better 5 course meal. BYOB. The staff is very experienced and professional. Kudos to the students. Everyone in our group had nothing but good things to say. The meal takes awhile, so plan to spend a couple of hours. The one thing I did miss was the dessert cart. In years past the students always came out and showcased the desserts at your table. I always enjoyed seeing all the desserts. It made it so hard to choose! Great job students!
Beware, if you have a large party they only take 4 charge cards per table. Food was fair. Nothing to rave about.

Had dinner last evening with another couple. The entire evening was a wonderful experience. The food, as always, was well prepared and beautifully presented. Our server, Christopher, while still learning, was accommodating and fun! These students and their instructors should be commended for their efforts. We all look forward to going back. You cannot best this wonderful place for relaxed dining experience.
