Wegmans

We go to Wegmans when we cannot find items elsewhere. The prices are a bit higher, but the selection is great. Today I was buying Rhubarb to make a pie and all my normal grocery stores did not have any. I found it here. I like this location for it's convenient parking and the fact that it is a bit less congested than the one on 248/33.

This is an amazing place to come shop in to. I was looking for items in the bakery shop and the gentleman stocking the bagels in the morning asked me if I needed assistance looking for any items? Not only did he help me look for my items but he went into the bakery to get me croissants that were not in the bakery yet and got it for me. I didn’t catch his name but he was an older man with white hair wearing a pink wegmans polo on 08/29/21 at around 8am. Wegmans you guys have and awesome staff member!!!!!!

I don't know where all of these other reviewers are shopping, but it's not the same Wegmans I'm going to. Prices are easily 25% more than other stores in the area like Valley Farm or even Giant. The food isn't even prepared there. The meat cuts are atrocious. Consistently out of basic items like parsley, onions or potatoes. Still seems to be having severe supply problems even though other stores in the area are fully stocked. We only go here sometimes because it's open late. The people are also friendly. That counts for something. But not the customers. You people don't pay attention at all to where you're walking or the fact that you're taking up an entire aisle with your cart in the center. Consistent problem every time I go there. This place seems to attract a certain type of person, and after going here often and reading these reviews I've concluded that I'm not that type.

I have noticed that this store and other Wegmans in this area are often out of basic items (i.e. regular grape jelly, cream cheese, Q-tips, etc). This isn't an occasional problem and I don't believe it's supply chain-related. It's been going on for months, and I haven't encountered it in any other grocery stores in the area--although store employees have tried to tell me it's happening everywhere. I tried to shop here the other night and four of the first six things on my list were unavailable. At that point I decided to cut my losses and leave--without buying anything--since I knew I would have to shop elsewhere anyway. Full disclosure: I worked in this store for about two years, nearly 20 years ago. It certainly wasn't like this when I worked there and I don't understand the blind devotion others have to it now. What good is a huge grocery store that lacks basic items? I like Wegmans, but they need to do better by their customers. Those of us who are discriminating consumers know we have other options and we're taking advantage of them. I don't know anyone who can afford to waste gas at $4+ gal. driving to a store that doesn't have half of what they need.

I like this store for produce and baked goods. I used to think they had values but that is questionable. My son had applied for a job when he was in high school. First they phone interview and he said he didn’t couldn’t work past 10pm due to school. They said well not their problem. Fast forward to now and his girlfriend applied for cashier and shopper. They once again phone interviewed her then next day emailed her and said she isn’t the right fit. Really!!! She works at another grocery store doing just that cashier and shopping. So I would like to know how they make decisions on phone calls. Well my shopping is done

I like going here but I'm very disappointed that they got rid of the buffet area. The pre-made packaged food they offer is way more expensive than it's worth and isn't an adequate replacement for their previous layout by any means. I still love the foreign food section. There's a lot more variety than other grocery stores and new foods added occasionally. I still make the trip out here sometimes for the foreign food, huge produce section, and indoor plant area but I usually just find somewhere else to eat when I'm out that way.
