Standout Korean and fusion food for a great value. The plates are all around $10-11 but are large enough that you can split. I went in a party of 3 and we shared the curry chicken plate and a seafood pancake; we were all full afterwards. Flavorful but not too salty, the chicken plate was a large portion and came with a bowl of soup for each of us. The seafood pancake was thicker than some others I've had, with more than enough seafood inside. Service was quick and the atmosphere is calm if not quiet. Would visit again.
So great! Since I came here, my first rice dish. It tastes just like the Korean food in China.
Korean-fusion food that hits the spot when you just need a quick or casual or inexpensive meal. Love the kimchi burrito, I usually order it with tofu instead of meat (they'll ask if you want soft or fried tofu - I recommend soft). Happily, they don't charge extra for brown rice.
Many of their menu items are displayed on dishes right in front of the register for folks who might have a hard time deciding otherwise. The salmon ball appetizers look so yummy, gotta try those sometime.
The food is nothing special, but this is probably the only Korean place in the area (other than Berkeley social club which is more of a fusion food place). Fried rice was actually pretty good! And outside seating is a plus for sure.
My trip to Crunch began as a mistake. After leaving a bar and craving pizza so badly it was worth the trip (with a DD of course) we went looking, but ended up finding out the place we wanted to go to was shut for the night. After getting some directions from a surprisingly helpful homeless man, we wandered around the corner and stumbled upon Crunch (not the place we were looking for, even the second time). All that being said, once the chicken came out I was glad we didn't go somewhere else. The Soy Garlic chicken was juicy and crispy all at once, and left you satisfied yet still wanting more all at once. The chicken was so good I came back a second time less than two days later with another group of friends, and was just as happy to eat it then.
Large portion of great food for a reasonable price. They play korean music in the back ground (kpop mostly). It's a great place for lunch sit down BUT that's if you can find a seat. It can get really packed fast, especially during lunch time. When I eat here I always go around 11am or after the lunch time rush. Also after classes like around 5pm it gets super crowded.
It's good food at a nice place.
