Outstanding beers! Haven’t had a bad one by these folks. Their alt is a great low ABV option, there are IPAs in many varieties, and a nicely curated selection of guest taps as well. Most taps are $6-7, which seems pretty standard in the ‘ham these days.
An abundance of outdoor seating options (covered, uncovered, picnic benches, seats with backs) and a cozy indoor space as well. The whole venue is 21+ which is refreshing with all the “family friendly” beer gardens in town. Very dog friendly as well!
Food is provided by a permanent cart that seems to be open most of the time. Really good burgers and fries. Standard American pub fare.
Finally, this really seems like a come-as-you-are kinda space. As a queer person, I feel very comfortable being myself at Gruff. The folk who are behind the counter are welcoming and service is quick and pleasant.
What a great spot! Great beer / wine / food courtesy of the BROTHERS BUS BISTRO / ambience.....what else could you ask for? This is my wifes FAVORITE place in town for wings, they are REALLY GOOD! Had an afternoon snack / drinks with family and everyone thoroughly enjoyed all that was offered, and the music wasn't bad either! Just grab your drinks, then a table, then get your food ordered, take the pager, sit back and enjoy the view!! GREAT place, we will be back, again and again and again............!
Found this great spot near the harbor. Their beer was phenomenal, with a food truck right in their outdoor space. The best part was watching the sunset while playing cornhole. A most stop when in Bellingham!
We love to visit Gruff Brewing whenever we bring our boat to Bellingham. Beers are always delicious and interesting. We appreciated the smaller sized Crowler for to-go beers, so much easier than carrying around a big glass growler when you live on a boat. Plus having the type of beer and date written on it is helpful as well. We also enjoyed the food truck parked there.

Update: No more off leash for the dogs :/ Still a nice outdoor space, especially for summer. But dogs on leash is not nearly as appealing for us.
Our (our dog and our) favorite place! Our dog is totally in love. Off leash, fire pits, games, pinball, view over a little ravine. So much space and lovely area to hang outdoors. One of the owners was serving the beer which is always refreshing for a business. Super clean and friendly. We grabbed delicious Indian food to go up the street and ate there. Makes us love Bellingham more than ever with this type of venue.

Cute place and good beer. View of water. Nice beer garden with heaters. Looks like maybe there is music sometimes based on a stage we saw.
