Black Pearl Bakerview

First time at this restaurant and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I’ve been wanting to try this place out for months, but forget it’s here because it’s kind of in a hidden area. The food was prepared in a timely manner and was presented beautifully. I had a hard time finding great bubble tea or milk tea in Bellingham; until I found out about this place. The restaurant is clean and a good spot for a nice meal without so much noise. I’ll definitely be coming back often to satisfy my cravings.

Other people seem quite nice, I had pad Thai which was so vinegary but it actually made my tongue numb. The place is filthy looks like the windows have never been cleaned and a whole bunch of clutter on the counter. The men’s room is out of order and the women’s room door lock is broken. The music is a classical piano song which after about a minute and a half skips back to the beginning of the exact same song over and over and over and over again

Great restaurant, great cuisine, great experience! I love their different offerings of curries & noodle dishes. I try to eat here at least once a month. My favorite dish is the shrimp & chicken noodle bowl. Everything on the menu is worth trying at least once if you like various Asian dishes. The owner & family that runs it are very friendly and get to know you as you come back over-and-over again. 5-Stars!

Ordered take out today and the service was friendly and a delight to talk to. However, the Pad Thai I ordered had to be the WORST Pad Thai I've ever had. No veggies (just noodles, sauce, chicken and peanuts), sauce was SO SWEET it made my mouth pucker (it was drowning in the sauce) and also had a somewhat strange gritty texture. I couldn't eat more than a few bites and had to throw it out. I also ordered Panang curry, which was better, but tasted more like coconut curry and was a bit watery, but at least it was edible. I am thoroughly upset that I wasted over $30 on just these two items, and will definitely not be ordering from here again.

Fantastic atmosphere. Great service. Fresh and delicious foods. You really can't ask for more. The Pan Grilled Shrimp Salad for 20.28 is a steal for the quality produce served. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the selections on the menu. The best thing is there's no time limit on your seating so you can stay for as long as you wish to enjoy those views!
