(1/6/2022) Revised to 5 STARS! Our little "misstep" was rectified same day showcasing their tremendous customer service. THANK YOU to the owners of THE BAGELRY!! (Original review) ... Very easily could have been FIVE stars but they forgot to put capers on my Lox Sandwich. :-( The capers are the crowning glory on a lox sandwich as far as I am concerned. Other than that the bagels are perfect, the lox is fresh, cream cheese is very tasty and the price is right. The pickles were awesome!

I’m so happy that I can get bagel sandwiches again! I am not sure when it happened, but the Bagley is now operating with a fuller menu, including coffee as well! From what I could see all orders are done at a walk up window with no customers inside right now. You place your order and walk a few paces down to wait at another window. They have dedicated parking spots out front for those who decide to order online and pick up. All of these options to order are fantastic because I love the bagels and specifically the sandwiches they have on offer. At a great price you get a delicious bite with So many slices of cheese on it… it’s just a blessing in a circle shaped sammy.

The best bagel since moving from New Jersey in 1992. Things are getting back to normal why? The Bagelry has opened fully again. Felt amazing walking through the doors. The warmth, the aroma, the friendly atmosphere we all love. To top it of flavor filled bagels. Sandwiches and more. The Bagelry is a Bellingham institution and deserves our thanks for being here after the rough couple of years.

I got the veggie & vegan cream cheese on an everything bagel. Absolutely delicious! Bagel was a bit hard but the flavor made up for that. Probably one of the best whipped vegan cream cheeses I’ve ever had. The lady at the register was also very nice and helpful when deciding what to get.

Haven't tried the bagels I bought yet, but they could use some improvement in their ordering process. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to purchase a bag of bagels. Next time I'll go in during the week. P.S. The bagels are great! They know how to make them.

Located a bit off the beaten path on a narrow one way street in Bellingham’s aged and noticeably PC downtown area, thought we’d discovered a hidden gem of a bagel shop when Bagelry crossed our path. And not a shop that simply sells bagels as a sideline. Eew! But a true bagel shop where they make, boil, bake, and sell BAGELS. And indeed, Bagelry is that by all appearances. But their product is not the slightly crusty, shiny, chewy boiled NY style bagels we’re used to. These were heavily crusted, as in “Yes, child, you can break a tooth” crust. Somewhat like a loaf of good, thumpable, crusty Italian bread, but there wasn’t enough of a crumb, that soft yummy inside, to offset the hard crusty exterior. Not our preference. There was too much crust that was proportionally far too thick for the product it encased. And once toasted it became that much harder. Seriously, you could break concrete with it! [Deduct 1 star.] And the flavor? It was okay, possibly even slightly good, but not great — and you shouldn’t have to convince or talk yourself into saying it’s good. It either is or it isn’t. [Hence the “okay.” Deduct 2nd star.] But if you like meandering through narrow downtowns and around and up and down on clustered side streets & smirking or raising your fist to all the “We the Pee-oppa-leez” propaganda posted on virtually every wall, and seeing the local uber enlightened and equally indoctrinated citizenry waiting patiently outside on the sidewalk for their very own hard, crusty bagels, this may be the place for you…. Us? We came, we saw, we tried, and like Johnny Mathis of old, next time we’ll walk on by. But check out what’s 2 doors down…

I grew up in Bham and have always loved the bagels and the owner even gave a talk at the community college back in the day. Yummy food. The time it takes to prepare the food could be a bit faster. Worth the wait though.

Now I don't mind tipping for service but I have always wondered about tipping when someone simply takes your order. This is what happened on Saturday at the Bagelry. My friend and I ordered our 2 eggs and a bagel and I was prompted to tip right away. Ok, I used the guilt prompts, tipped, got my meal number and sat down. And waited and waited. Finally had to go back in and inquire. Food finally came with no utensils. So, what exactly did I tip for? And this is not the first time this has happened. Horrible customer service but please tip right away!
