Silk City Saloon

First off - this is no longer the Silk City Saloon, its now the Harmful Roester - yes that spelling is correct. We stopped in on a whim. The new owners have redone the menu and I was impressed with the variety and the prices. We ended up splitting the Mardi Gras Shrimp Alfredo - $12.50!!! and Onion Rings - $5.75 The onion rings came out incredibly fast and were so hot they could barely be touched, They were large rings of sweet onion covered in a light batter and fried. They were delicious! The Shrimp Alfredo was loaded with shrimp (tails removed thankfully, a pet peeve of mine) and was very tasty with just the right amount of spice. We also purchased a piece of carrot cake and cheesecake to go. Our server Linae did a fantastic job, she brought three toppings to go with the cheesecake; white chocolate, caramel, and blueberry - all delicious. The chef, Jake also stopped by the table to ask about our meal - we told him we would definitely be back and would spread the word about our new find.

Great bartenders on 7-22-22. They were busy but handled it well. When DJ started, it got even busier. They hold your CC for a tab. Pretty quick to offer another beer which is nice. We were all having fun, then here comes Belding Police. Talk about a buzz kill. Police shouldn't need to enter the establishment to take a report. They can do that in the parking lot. They were speaking to patrons, they don't need to see who's in the bar drinking. Also a what I can guess is a security guard was over bearing and too talkative to the bar tenders. The patrons were great and welcoming. Rating of 4 because Police were inside. Also they pulled 2 cars over infront of the saloon too! Bartender said it was happening more often. I felt like they are trying to run your patrons away.

Very impressed with the quality of food here. Had carry out several times. Pizza is incredible and they don't skimp on cheese, they have naan bread as an optional sandwich wrap and the house chips are amazing! The full wet burrito is easily enough for two people and the deep fried mushrooms are the best ive had (on skewers and really big.)
