The Great Wall

I have been a fairly regular customer for about a year now and I can safely say that tradition ends today. When it’s good, it’s great. But the food quality and quantity is far too inconsistent for the price. Today I purchased the sesame beef (a $17 entree) only to get home and discover the below photo. I don’t know if I was accidentally given the child’s menu sesame beef or if the cook intentionally tried to pass off a half full container as a full serving. But paying $17 for that portion and having to pay extra for white rice is a trap I’ll never fall into again. This is not the first time I’ve had issues with food quality or portion size here. Save your money and go down the street to Chipotle McDonald’s. You’ll get twice the food for half the price.

My friend & I wanted a Chinese Buffet it’s been a couple years because of the pandemic… I found this restaurant on the web but it only had 3 stars so I was skeptical… I’m really happy that we went! First off it was extremely clean and a man was constantly at the buffet table cleaning & filling it…The service was just attentive enough ! The buffet was a great price as well! The food was moist and excellent!!!! Their menu is huge and I want to go back for Lobster w Ginger & scallion! Thank you Great Wall we were very happy!!! IM HERE AGAIN!!! The buffet is EXCELLENT!!! I don’t understand why it’s rated 3.9!?!?!! EXCELLENT!!! The price is also excellent!!!! Try the lunch buffet it’s fantastic!!

It saddens me to write this review because this has been my go to for a few years now. The quality of food is steadily deteriorating. The fried rice was crunchy and other food was not worth the calories. The buffet is ok, but a la carte/take out not so much. I called to let them know and they didn’t even apologize. She just said “ok”. How sad.

By far, the best quality Chinese food. The place is immaculate and the ambiance is soft and cozy. The bar area has 2 nice tvs for viewing. Prefer not doing buffet at this point in time but have had it before and it is very good. Their presentation is great and I would recommend this place highly to anyone.

The Great Wall is a standard American style Chinese Restaurant. It is know for its buffet which is $14.95 for lunch. I'm not a huge buffet guy since I'm not the biggest water. The food on the buffet is fresh and brought out in small quantities to keep it that way. The house hot tea is delicious it is oolong. The food is ok. If your a fan of buffets and a big eater this is a good deal. For me not so much. The service is always excellent and most of the staff has been there for many years. Worth a try
