Toby Carvery Goldington

I wanted to treat my girls (9 and 6 years old) to a Toby Carvery after they watched a You Tube video of Americans trying it and rather liked the idea 💡😎 I hadn't had one for years! The restaurant was lovely. Felt really comfortable and cosy and was very clean. We really enjoyed our food and had fun trying the offerings to be had in whatever combination we wanted! 9 year old assured me mash potatoes and Mac cheese together is delicious! I enjoyed the variety and it was fantastic value. For a buffet style restaurant it's brilliant and how could anyone begrudge the sheer choice and quantity of food. Our waitress Sam was amazing and made our experience feel special. I personally haven't experienced customer service like she showed us in years in this country. She is exceptional at her job. She was so friendly and attentive and wonderful with the kids. We can't wait to come back. Thank you so much 🙏Highly recommend

We had the email stating that children go for £1 during the half term however once we had eaten our meals which was only warm and not hot.. We asked to pay, one of my children, my daughter who is 11 years old was charged full adult price and my son being only 9 year's old was charged £6.49 we disputed the price showing my email stating that children can eat for £1 and they only reduced the bill by £5.50, meaning that my 11 year old daughter was still charged full adult price.. We found this email very deceiving and misleading, and were still charged £47.51..when both my 2 children should've only been charged £1... Very disappointed ☹️

Maread was our waitress. All I can say is wow. She made us feel so welcome and attended to all our needs. My nan is disabled and even got her a drink while we queued for the carvery. Food was yummy and filled a hole 😋 Been to the Toby multiple times and this was probably our best, there has been a refurbishment and it makes the place feel so much more spacious and welcoming. Thank you 😊

Great visit today. The food was excellent, the new decor is lovely and the service was 100%! Sam our waitress was lovely, friendly and very professional. My 7 year old loved having a chat with her and nothing was too much trouble! We will be coming back again and hoping to get Sam. (It might be helpful if the QR was clearer as I struggled)

4 stars as there is always room for improvement… Jacob was a lovely host! Fantastic customer service and nothing was to much trouble.. my only critique is it’s very busy and the queue for carvery and leaving the premises is a bit of a tight squeeze… if you had a push chair or wheelchair it would be very difficult to get past.
