Great place for a meal with a group !!
Very busy inside with a great atmosphere and warm feeling.
All the food was really well made, especially the octopus which I never thought I would order but I took the chance and it was delicious.

A great welcome with attentive service. Wine list was excellent and good value. The halibut was outstanding. Vegetables were perfectly cooked. And the chips were amazing. We'll be back.

Very nice pub, friendly staff. Had Sunday lunch, two had the beef which have to say was tender and moist one of the best I've ever tasted. I unfortunately chose the lamb, which was disappointing. Excellent veg and very generous and did their best to accommodate certain food intollerances. Wouldn't hesitate to go back, but will choose the beef :)

Ate here for the first time tonight and can honestly say it was the best meal we have had in a long time. There were so many lovely things on the menu I was spoilt for choice. I chose the vegetarian pastry parcel which was so tasty. My husband had mussels and then the fish stew which he said were both delicious. There were 6 of us and everyone loved their meal. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. We will definitely be back. 5 ⭐️

the Horse and Jockey is a great little restaurant a few minutes drive outside of Bedford. I would call it in upscale pub with great food and great service. The staff is super friendly.

Went for the first time on Fathers Day. Excellent menu. Duck and Bacon Hash Starter was superb. Very welcoming owners. Lovely homely feel. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. Looks non descript from the outside but is one of the best quality food pubs in the area. More a venue for dining than a drinking pub.
