Not because Jay is my friend, but because that ish was Gooooood. We sampled most of the menu. My 2 year old tore up the queso and the elote! Magna Carrot was my favorite taco and from a serious meat eater, that is not what I thought would happen during our sampling. The carrots were so well cooked with just a little pop in the center, the pepitas brought and awesome spicy crunch. The man ate all the things on corn tortilla because of a gluten allergy (something we were super happy to see as an option as BR hasnt gotten on the be kind to gluten free peeps train yet). That corn...I will be back again and again for that corn....the night we went was the slap ya mama option-yes, so much yes...and i quenched my thirst with a watermelon mint agua Fresca, which I went back for another because it was so refreshing...next visit-pineapple sage for comparison. So much awesome!

I tried 4 different tacos on my visit here. Each taco had its own unique flavor. Each taco was an amazing experience! Not joking.... this is the single best taco joint I've ever been to. Try it!
Yum!! I only had a second to glance at the menu so I chose the most simple Regular tacos but can’t wait to come back and try something different and unique. Outdoor area is really chill and fun for a big group like we were in.
Only reason I'm giving it a four is I felt over 30$ for six tacos that size is just too much. I mean they where good but not that above and beyond. I will sat though the Mahi and the chicken where on point. The Steak of the Union...not so much. The Normal was just that...normal.
The restaurant was nice and welcoming. The tables were regularly cleaned and sanitized, and the customer service was great. I was greeted with a smile by each person I encountered who worked at the restaurant. The restrooms were clean and modern with a nice long mirror to check yourself before walking back into the restaurant. I would recommend the restaurant and food.

If I could give this 10 stars I would! Such a fun place and atmosphere. We love the creative names on the menu and drinks. Any taco lover or lover of good food, beverages and cool staff should make Govt Taco a regular stop!
