Unique Nosh

This morning I took the granddaughter to Main Street for a treat not knowing that a lot of businesses are closed on Mondays. We saw the open sign at Unique Nosh from across the street and went to have a frozen treat. Let me say I have tried their product before and it was delicious. That was not a issue. It was 15 minutes before opening and they did come unlock the door to tell us this. But instead of offering us a cool seat inside out of the heat to wait the 15 minutes for the ice cream to be ready. We were told the ice cream "wasn't even ready yet" to wait for "15 minutes in (the 90+ degree heat) and then come back." I do understand it was their right not to offer a place to sit and wait but I felt it was bordering on rude to tell us to stand outside in that kind of heat. When I come home I try to shop our local businesses and I look forward to the friendliness of the people who always try their best to accommodate their customers. I was terribly disappointed by my experience this morning. Again I realize they were under absolutely no obligation to offer us a place to sit for those 15 minutes but it would have been a nice and kind gesture to let a Grandmother and a 8 year old wait in the cool for their treats. Instead they lost a sale and probably a customer for life.

So I left a three stars because not because of the price or presentation of the flavors. I left three stars because heath instead of reeses cups or butter finger is a big thumbs down. Heath is so common in these areas for froyo yet the mainstream places such as menchies have butterfinger and reeses for a reason, because they keep folks coming back, thanks for reading this. Overall a good 🍦 lack of toppings makes a 3/5 for me.
