The ambience is cool and young. They have a DJ now and that was ok. He couldn’t figure out the vibe he wanted to go for though. It gets pretty loud and busy in here as well. Our waitress was a little weird, she must not have wanted to wait on us bc she left us waiting and we said something to another waitress and she ended up taking over for her. It is restaurant but I didn’t get anything off of that menu. I ordered the volcano roll which was phenomenal and a tad bit spicy and the wasabi Caesar salad w chicken and that had a kick to it as well. I was satisfied. My friend ordered from the restaurant menu: shrimp & crab quesadilla , Carne Asada and strawberry cheesecake. I only tasted to quesadilla and it wasn’t spicy and not really cheesy. The shrimp were good and the crab was scarce but good where it was. My friend enjoyed the carne asada, the steak was tender, juicy and flavorful but the rice a bit dry. The strawberry cheesecake was delicious.

Great experience overall. Everyone was very kind, had a great server. Drinks came out a little late but the food and drinks all were delicious and great potions for what you pay. Always a favorite spot of ours.

Came here for a late breakfast. I thought this was more of a quick bite place but was pleasantly surprised to be told to take a seat and my server would help me. Not too fancy ( think ihop with an urban, midtown, chic earthy look and feel) Wear your regular clothes and you have the option to just order a take out meal. I ordered the make-your-own omelette. It was good but, be forewarned that the online menu is not totally accurate (no crabcake breakfast). Otherwise, Everyone greeted me and the waitress was nice and very helpful. Nice experience.

First time having breakfast here. It’s crazy GOOD. I am big on customer service. I was immediately greeted as I walked through the door. I was unsure of the breakfast menu the guys knew the menu by heart as well as the prices. Awesome right?! Very clean, staff is personable. I usually come in at night for drinks and the Kobe burger but this morning I’ve changed my mind instead of me going to the place next door to me I’ll come here. Thanks guys.

Great sushi in a small but tall restaurant. Easy to find, but lots of stairs inside because its 4 stories. Awesome creative sushi rolls, with unique ingredients like fruit and parmesan cheese, honey sauce, tomato. Not a long list of rolls, but hard hitting. Great espresso and music. Staff wonderful and very welcoming. First floor is a coffee/pastry counter for quick stops. 2nd and 4th stories are additional seating, and 3rd is restaurant and bar.

As many times as I have been here, I had never tried their Kobe beef burger. It was amazing! Grilled onions and spicy mayo def give it some extra flavor. Idk how they cook their delicious waffle fries, but those are great too. Their happy hour and daily specials are pretty solid. Staff is always super friendly. One of my favorite spots. Pictured below is the food from when me and friends went last week. I got the seafood quesadilla which was way better than I expected. Can't go wrong with the sake either, which I think was only $1. I was expecting a small sample size basically but was surprised when I still got a whole bottle.

This is my favorite hangout. The food is great and the liquor selection is fire. Such a nice place to chill with friends, eat, drink, and enjoy yourself downtown. The area is nice and clean as well. I truly love going here.

Nice display of the place just okay though. Our waitress was friendly so that was nice. I didn’t eat at the restaurant though because something happened prior and i lost my appetite but i ate it a couple hours later and i knew it wouldn’t taste fresh but the way the chicken tasted it had no flavor and the waffles weren’t anything special maybe it’s better when it’s warm but to-go/takeout was not the way to go!

Perfect for date night ! Some of the best sushi I have ever had and the atmosphere is really intriguing. Definitely one of a kind type of place ! Would definitely recommend!

XS service was very slow and forgetful. The drinks we ordered took 10 minutes to come back for us to be told there was no mix for the drink. Asked for no ice in the beverage.. iced drink. The server bought a vegetarian meal out with chicken in it. Chefs do not wear hair nets. No sympathy or understanding how frustrating the whole experience was. No compensation for multiple errors. Definitely won’t be back.

I was so disappointed with our last visit here! The service was absolutely horrible! We were 1st told there where no tables by the lady at the front, then when we asked another waiter, he told us he had tables on the 4th floor. We sat up there, the waitress was so rude to us, service was slow, food was cold, the order was wrong, and my sister got a flat soda that was sent back and still left on the bill! We will not ever be returning. I'm embarrassed that I recommend this place to my family and friends as I ate here a few years ago. It has gone soooo downhill, don't waste your time or money!

Janae (sp?) was the most delightful server. We were so charmed by her that we would come back again just because of her. However, if she wasn’t enough, the atmosphere was nice. The food was okay but Janae was the best part of our visit. Do try the wasabi Caesar salad!

My food as always was very good. Great food! Great sushi! Just poor customer service. I sat at the bar during the day, and had to keep asking for a refill of water. Bar wasn't busy.

I've enjoyed the food each time, but yesterday was a little disappointing. My granddaughter had a small birthday celebration there and 3 persons food didn't come along with the rest. All others had eaten and still no food, until the waitress was notified. She was pleasant and the meals were bag to go. They also took some money off the bill. Just pay attention that tips are added to your bill and the taxes aren't included in the total you receive until after they ring you out...very confusing. When you receive your bill everything should be added at one time...

Been going to XS for over 10 years and it's just gone downhill mostly cuz they up their prices. Food is okay (as in decent if you want to spend the money but not worth it). But prices are so asinine that I can't give it more than 2 stars. Adding 6 shrimp to your Pad Thai is $5.95 (added on to the normal price of pad Thai) Wow! I can go to an amazing authentic Thai place and get the real deal for cheaper than that. Be realistic with what you're serving. I also think it's funny that they only comment on the good reviews, never the bad ones that talk about the service. Poor management.

The tables were dirty. The waitress served us our drinks in styrofoam cups. We never received dinner napkins. The waitress served the wrong plate to the wrong guess and just switched it. Even after the guest ate off it. The manager was dancing and swinging her hair in the kitchen and then had the nerve to be rude when I tried to complain. And to top it off the manager Ruby told me it wasn't possible for me to contact her boss. Refused to give me a phone number or email, all while the waitress popped and smacked on gum the entire time. OMG! I use to love this place. Never again will I eat there. Worst in Baltimore.

Atmosphere was really cool...is in an old brownstone rowhome on 4 levels. Food was affordable, delicious and abundant! Our server, Emily, was very attentive and engaging. Would definitely come back.

Very disappointed!!!!! We got our drinks like 20 mins after our food, some were told they were out of certain food and drinks after others were finished their meals, and then waiter tells us he can't separate the checks for a party of 12 because he has other tables to wait on. Never again will I return.

Best place in the city for sushi. One of my all-time favorite restaurants. Nice atmosphere. Good drinks. Nice place for a date, to meet up with friends, or just hang out by yourself.
