Recommended by a friend this Baltimore gem earned the rare 10/10. All in Food, Service, Atmosphere. Ordered Chicken Katsu Curry, Teriyaki Steak, Stir Fry Udon, Oriole Roll. All packed with flavor, that not many can achieve. Distinct yet unique taste. Seated quickly and served with care and a smile on a random Thursday. The Ribeye Teriyaki Steak truly is a must try. Couldn’t take a picture of any other food because it was quickly eaten.

I was in Baltimore and looking for a place to eat. Saw this restaurant and just walked it. I would say it was one of the greatest decisions I made on that day! They know what they are doing and I am definitely going back there. If you like sashimi and sushi and happen to be in Baltimore, look no further and try this place!

Always my favorite place to go have Sushi when I am in Baltimore. Great and friendly service. Good and fresh fish. Owner came to greet you and asked you how is everything. What else could you ask for?

I had a good experience in this restaurant. The service was excellent and helpful. All the food is fresh. I had the dumpling ramen soup and it was delicious. My husband had the seafood ramen and was also great. The shrimp shumai was also delicious. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is due to the small space. They only have few tables. Other than that this place is great.

The sushi was amazing! The best roll combos I’ve ever seen on a menu. I recommend the orioles roll😋😋😋

Seafood Fried Rice was awesome. World Cup roll was custom requested and owner suggested. Tuna and avocado wrapped around a salmon. And the altered the Rocky Mountain Roll for us because we wanted lump crab without the deep fry. Great service.

Really nice staff and attentive service. The shrimp and veggie tempura was good. As was the veggie ramen bowl.

Nice Japanese restaurant with great service. Really enjoyed the sushi there, my favorites being their shrimp tempera and volcano rolls.

A Baltimore sushi institution!
Fresh fish. Great service . Amazing experience
Space is small - so you might wait a few minutes for a table - but it’s worth it

High quality sushi and great tempura — not the typical thick batter.

Try the nabeyaki udon with tempura! Standard sushi options and a long list of specials.
Well prepared usually but the rice can be a bit mushy. Worth getting a roll or two but I recommend exploring some of the other options too.
Restaurant is a bit narrow on the first floor due to the sushi bar, which is somewhat cluttered. The upstairs is more open but the decor is lacking and there's no view.
Service is terrific. Staff is fast and polite. They are clearly focused on take out orders but still make a strong effort to attend to the in person guests.
They open at 4:30pm and even on Mondays, so sometimes they are just the default for an early evening, early week, sushi dinner.
Don't go out of your way to dine in, but definitely check them out for takeout. Good place if you're ordering for a group with some people who don't want sushi but prefer a soup, rice or noodle dish instead.

Matsuri makes delicious sushi. Been many many times and always enjoy it. The Ocean Breeze and Volcano rolls are incredible everytime.

Excellent experience! Went on Tuesday, not busy. We were seated immediately and the service was prompt. Ordered a chef special sushi platter and several apps. The food was very well prepared. Sashimi was generous in portions and of the highest quality. I would def return. Great value, great experience!
