Dukem Ethiopian Restaurant in Baltimore is a must-visit for any fan of Ethiopian cuisine. The food is authentic and delicious, and the service is warm and welcoming. I highly recommend the Dukem Veggie Combo, which is a great way to sample a variety of Ethiopian dishes. The injera bread is perfectly spongy and flavorful, and the stews are rich and flavorful. I also loved the sambusas, which are crispy pastries filled with meat or vegetables. The atmosphere at Dukem is casual and inviting. The dining room is decorated with traditional Ethiopian artwork, and there is often live music playing. Overall, Dukem Ethiopian Restaurant is a great place to enjoy a delicious and authentic Ethiopian meal. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and flavorful dining experience.

A nice change of pace for us. The food was wonderful and added to a new and exciting dining experience. Best to review Ethiopian etiquette if you are not familiar with the food or culture. This will guarantee you will have a splendid time. Caution many dishes use jalapenos. So the menu leans towards being a bit spicy.

This was a completely new cuisine for me, so I didn't know what to expect. The crepe-like side dish (Njera?) was delicious and I could really eat it plain as well. The curries were all flavorful as well. I would highly recommend the sampler of vegetarian curries. There were so many options that came on the plate and I was the most full I'd been in a while after down it. The prices are solid, and both times I visited, they were consistently good. Come with really hungry guests prepared to eat with their hands! 8

AMAZING FOOD!!! We came with a big group and was served quickly with amazing food. I recommend the Sambosa as an appetizer. The sambosa is flaky and taste good with lots of spices. Then we ended up getting unity platter with mixture of dishes both with meat and veggies. The next dish that came out is the Goden (beef ribs) it’s so delicious with the injira along with the mixture of spices that came with it. Definitely worth the try. We will definitely come back and try other dishes!!! The best part is the honey wine!!! It’s so good it taste like juice!!! 10/10 recommend trying this restaurant!!!

Make sure you check out Dukem in Baltimore. The food is great, the customer service is amazing and the atmosphere makes you feel like you've actually stepped into a restaurant in Ethiopia! Not to mention if you get a chance to meet Biruk, he's amazing and he'll make you feel like he's hosting you at his home for dinner. 10/10! Totally recommend.

Me and my wife stopped in here for lunch, we both love Ethiopia food and were ecstatic that we could find some around the hospital area. The food was 5/5 and the dessert was 10/5. I highly recommend stopping in here for some great food.

Edit: this is like the sixth or seventh time I get the veggie combo. There’s still new dishes!! Love it!! And still amazing service. Damn the veggie combo I’ve gotten three times each time it’s different and each time it’s 16 pieces of delicious authentic goodness. SO many flavors, some sweet, some meaty, spicy, fermented, fresh, just each bite bursts with something truly unique. It’s my go to takeout for the week. The staff is also nice. This place hits ALL the marks. And a vegetarian heaven!!

Upstairs was closed when I arrived. There were a few tables set up outside to dine. This made the restaurant seem very cozy (with appx. 4 small tables to sit at) downstairs. With a steady stream of people picking up to go orders, I knew the food was going to be good. The recommendations from the waitress was superb. The lamb was very tender and juicy. When I asked for spice, they were kind enough to accommodate. I would love to visit again when I'm in Baltimore, or maybe even DC!

We got the regular beef tibs and fried fish with rice. Omg everything was so yummy and flavorful, even the side salad and tomato puree. I'm no expert on Ethiopian cuisine but this was definitely the best taste of it I've had so far. Can't wait to try more of their dishes!!
