Review Papi's Tacos - Baltimore

Bailey Finneran
Great lil spot near Fells Point! Had chips, guac, and pineapple salsa to start. Then we shared the fajita mixto (amazing flavor, more than enough food) and this monthโ€™s special the pizza birria (again so flavorful). Will be craving this meal every day for the next month. Will come back!

I would recommend this place, but ironically not for tacos. I have tried the fajitas and the burrito which both were fantastic. The fajitas come in the classic steaming stone. However, I did try the classic tacos and Iโ€™m not sure if itโ€™s meant to be this way, but it was quite bland and I had to add a lot of sauce and salt to make it palatable. Overall, itโ€™s a pretty good restaurant tho

Lively and fun Mexican restaurant! The staff is always warm and gives excellent recommendations. The frozen margaritas and the burrito bowl are my favorites! Try to snag a table outside if you can.

This place had amazing food . The beef on the birria wasn't as tender as I like but the food was still delicious .

Had fun here during happy hour. Enjoy a pint of negra modelo with their chicken tinga tostadas. Yum!!!

๐ŸŒฎ๐ŸŒŸ "Papis Taco joint is an absolute gem! My first visit left me mesmerized by the mouthwatering Enchiladas they serve. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the spices blended in harmony, creating a delightful culinary experience like no other. The positive ambiance of the bar & restaurant added to the overall charm of the place, making it a truly unforgettable dining destination. I can't wait to go back for more delicious adventures at Papis Taco!" ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰

I have to tell you I really enjoyed this place. This place had the best service I had at a restaurant in a long time. The drinks were fantastic and the food was amazing. I had a mix and match of tacos. This was one of the best taco places I had ever been to. I cannot wait to come back

This was a hard review to leave as I felt satisfied when I left but overall was not impressed with the quality of the food. It was all pretty decent but for the price of the food I felt like they could have done better. The main star of a taco should be the meat and it felt like they added too much vegetables and not enough meat. I did feel like the taco Tuesday special made it worth going to but there are better taco options in Fells Point.

I ate here maybe ten years ago and it was busy and I remembered it was great. Stopped in on a Monday and itโ€™s better than I remember. So happy the tamale was moist, soft and saucy because I canโ€™t get a good one at most places. Beer was ice cold. Service from the bartender was perfect, I never got his name but he was a pro. This is one of my go to spots when I visit!

Amazing, creamy guacamole. Chips with guac is a must-try here. The food was delicious and comforting, but the portion sizes were pretty underwhelming for what you pay for. Our party got the enchiladas, mission-style burritos, platanos, fried ice cream, and tres leches. Definitely finish with the tres leches but order two if you have more than three people. 7

I wish we remembered our servers name, but he was great and fun! He was very well mannered and very attentive to our table. Great customer service and gave us great options of food to try as first time guests! Ordered the Gringo nachos, 6 street tacos, and a order of the Honey Tajin wings. (Those were SLAPPIN). Gave us a punch card as well for future visits! Had enough for Dinner later on in the evening! Nice experience! Only downfall is the table sizes are a tad small, but it was manageable!

I have to start by saying, Iโ€™m from Texas - so I have a high standard for Mexican food. This place gets the job done. The service is fantastic and the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. The food overall was just okay. I got an al pastor quesadilla, which was decent. The salad looked good and was very tasty. Iโ€™d probably visit again if I find myself in Baltimore again and was craving some tacos.

Was a great experience overall and great food. Loved the street tacos options great for kids and the staff were amazing. The door staff helped alot with our large group and the Manger Pez was awesome. Will be going back soon.

One of Baltimore's best local happy hours! House margaritas $4 (and strong!), draft beers $3 and lots of delicious tacos!!! Received great service from the staff. Located in historic area which is perfect for sightseeing and kicking back.

Took a seat for two out on the patio on Labor Day. The service was amazing, timely, sweet, professional, attentive. Unfortunately, the food was a bit mediocre. The shrimp tacos have barely any shrimp in them. The nachos were decent, but barely any added meat on them. The meat that was on there, chicken tinga was decent though. The rice and beans were kindof bad. Beans very salty and had a weird aftertaste. Rice wasnt very flavorful.

Had lunch here today with hubby. The food was just absolutely delish! We enjoyed a short rib burrito, huge and full of flavor. We also had a cheese quesadilla, queso fundido, black beans and rice. Everything was so tasty. We will be back! I highly recommend this place.

Food, staff, atmosphere, everything was perfect. We stumbled upon this hidden gem on a night out of town. Quick service and wonderful drinks got our attention. Our app came in fast and OMG the queso was heaven. The salsa yum! Kept drinking throughout the night while interacting with the staff, they were charismatic, courteous, attentive, and overall a joy. Thank you!!!

A Taco place where the Chef Owner is not Mexican. Great ambience and touch to details from the rock salt Margarita to the bubble gum desert to the bathroom decor with vintage comics . Flavor wise , too many sauces mask the good food they serve. The do them yourself Tacos are a must.

I love Papi's. Good Mexican is hard to come by in Baltimore, but this place is my favorite. The salsa selection is great and the street tacos are perfect. Wasn't wild about the ceviche...too much lime juice and the portion was small, although it did feature lobster pieces. They have refried black beans which are unique and tasty. The space is small so if you have a large party, better head to La Sirenita (cheap & authentic) or Tio Pepe's (Spanish fine dining)

Street tacos are amazing coupled with their classic margarita. Great little patio out back is a little secret treasure to enjoy as well.

I loved both the authentic and gringo style tacos. The food and the service were exceptional. The outdoor patio had the perfect ambience, can't wait to go back!!!

My exploration of Baltimore cuisine is limited but I love this place. Had outstanding brunch. Wonderful menu and staff and atmosphere.

Best tacos in town and service!! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜ Original mexican tacos not crunchy but soft corn tortilla. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜

The service was excellent but I was extremely disappointed to find out they no longer do their all you can drink brunch. The beers were taken off the brunch specials entirely and the bellini's aren't made with real juice anymore.... come on now people, really??? Bring back the all you can drink special at a little higher price and it won't be as dead as it was when I was in there yesterday. I'm sure you bartenders would appreciate customers to serve!

Some of the best street style tacos I've had at a brick and mortar! The guacamole is totally killer, and the Cadillac margarita with a floater was so smooth and refreshing, I was downing it way too fast! Great, cozy kind of old Baltimore atmosphere...definitely a Fells Point feel. I'll be going back for sure.

It was awesome! Best Guacamole I have ever had! The Tacos are freaking awesome! The Frozen Margaritas are the best!

Great menu in Spanish which makes you think that the food would be very authentic but the food wasn't real Mexican... I had shrimp tacos and I have never seen those toppings before in Mexico. Great original salsas on the table. I'm a Mexican woman by the way.
