Review Mccormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks - Baltimore

I had the chance to visit this restaurant on Thanksgiving Day and the experience was great. It was my first time visiting this location. We had a couple allergies at the table and had the pleasure of the chef coming to our table to take our orders and share information on ingredients. The food was delicious and fresh. The drinks as always were great. The company was amazing! And the service was very responsive. I would highly suggest you check them out. The sea bass is amazing. The stuffed salmon was delicious and the calamari was my favorite.

Sooo... was a little worried about eating here after reading the reviews. There were a few bad ones, but honestly we couldn't have had a better time. I found NONE of the negative reviews to be factual during our time there. Our waiter Cedric was AMAZING!!! Super friendly and welcoming to us. The food was sooooo good! All of it! Thank You McCormick & Schmick's for a fantastic night! Thank you Cedric for being the best of the best!

In Baltimore's Inner Harbor, McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant gives a delightful dining experience that combines fresh seafood, impeccable service, and a charming ambiance. During my recent visit, I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food, the attentiveness of my server Christina, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. The menu at McCormick & Schmick's boasts an extensive selection of seafood. From Maryland crab cakes to more adventurous options like grilled swordfish (bf loved, ate so fast couldn’t get a pic!), I ordered the ribeye Oscar style (pictured) the variety of choices was impressive. The service at McCormick & Schmick's was exceptional. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, sweet, she made the experience all the better. The bar is impressive as well. One minor drawback was the noise level, which occasionally became quite loud due to the restaurant's popularity. Which is a good telltale sign this place is good!this restaurant is a fantastic choice for a special occasion or a delightful evening out.

Ate here twice. Food was good - especially crab cake and the Miso Black Cod...and a drink called the cherry mule. One night, a birthday party arrived with no advance notice. There were 20+ people - drinks, food, etc. It was madness. If a noisy crowd is not your thing, do not sit in the bar, which sucks because then you will miss Brittany. The staff was great, especially the bartender Brittany, she is AWSOME - great drinks, plus she was jumping back and forth between the bar, serving, and general birthday crowd control.

We ate at McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steakhouse once during one of our trips to Baltimore. The food, atmosphere, and service were solid. The location of this restaurant within the Inner Harbor is fantastic, I loved the crab cakes. Also, this is a great spot for outdoor dining, too. The views are amazing, and there is tons of outdoor seating available.

Our server was great in the beginning. We did ask to sit outside so I couldn’t see that it was getting busier inside, which explains why he ended up not checking on us as much towards the end of our meal. But he was very nice the entire time. Food was okay. I got the shrimp scampi and it wasn’t anything to write home about. Beautiful setting.

We just had cocktails 🍸. It was a lovely start to a great evening. Then we took a water taxi to meet friends at another restaurant.

I love this place because it’s located in my favorite part of Baltimore. It’s so nice to stop in and have some shrimp kisses, a burger, or a salad. My favorite drink was a custom made by this location that was cucumber, strawberry and top shelf spirits. I love the diversity of the menu , and the staff is so elegantly dressed and perfectly polite. If it’s summer , sit in the beautiful garden. It’s a beautiful way to spend the day.

McCormick & Schmick’s is one of my favorite places for food and cocktails in Baltimore. It definitely has one of the best happy hours in or around the inner harbor. The customer service is consistently amazing. Our server/bartender, Brittany, is always friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. She gives us great recommendations on menu items to try and we are never disappointed. It’s a great restaurant for parties and family gatherings as well. I have recommended McCormick to a couple of my friends for happy hour birthday celebrations and they have all been very pleased.

Amazing! Our server Jeremy and Chef Jones made this birthday celebration a hit! The supervisor Juan came out to make my wife's beverage. The passion and knowledge he had for the Smoked Black Cherry Bourbon beverage was refreshing. The demonstration was beautiful. The Irish Whiskey Salmon "Chef's Special" was a HIT!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE DO NOT DO AWAY WITH THIS. Reservations were seamless, service was great, staff was full of personality, and the restaurant was very diverse from staff to customers working in harmony. These are all very important to me. It was also clean, arranged comfortably, and spacious. The location was perfect and they allowed us to bring in our cake for storage and presenting with candles. They made the night so special without a hitch. We also appreciate the Chef coming out without being asked. We wanted to speak with him and he read our minds. The food was DELICIOUS! I CANNOT SAY THIS ENOUGH. This is our new spot so we can try the entire menu eventually!

If you’re a fan of seafood (or wine)—you will love this place—It has a wide selection of seafood in their menu, including the crab cakes. The are a selection of wine and other drinks. Although, the food takes time to arrive—The service was fairly good (i wish they’d bring drinks sooner). Overall, nice food with a nice view of inner harbor.

Went here for our anniversary for dinner. The host was very friendly and seated us quickly. Our waiter Joel (i think that’s how you spell it) was very sweet and had great mannerism. He made our dinner even more enjoyable. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice and well decorated. We ordered the sockeye salmon, Hawaiian swordfish, and the pineapple butter cake. The fish dishes were very tasty, but the butter cake is a must try it was one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time! Overall great experience!

Food was good and the restaurant boasts a beautiful view of the Inner Harbour in Baltimore. Our server was a bit less than stellar. She started out great, but as the evening went on, she started having trouble with table touches and took forever bringing the dessert out. They were not busy, but she started responding slower to our table. I recommend coming for dessert. If you aren't a seafood fan you won't have many options here. They have steak and you can add chicken to your salad.

This was a great place to eat… the staff was all very welcoming of kids! We had fun! I highly recommend the clam chowder, oysters Rockefeller, and the salmon. The Prosecco sangria was also just what Mommy needed! And you have to get the bag of chocolate for dessert… you will not regret it!

Elisa was an amazing bartender/server last night. She handled me with care and was totally down to earth. I love great hospitality. Definitely a plus when its an hour before closing and the whole staff is just as vibrant as when they opened.

Got off to a slow start with our server apparently not being there yet. After about 20min, another server started us with our drinks and appetizer, but he seem e to have no interest in doing so, visibly lookin around for where the “late” server was. When or server finally got there, things slowly got better. The food was great, despite the slow service.

Started a long post.. Not sure what happened to it... Horrible, horrible, horrible, .. Servers rolling eyes when you ask for separate checks, handing me my food in a go bag as we head out the door to make our show start time, after an hour wait for the order, couple sharing our table never getting their drinks until they walk up to the bar and food they ordered a shrimp cocktail comes out appalling... Someone seriously threw 3 shrimp in a bowl of ice and threw a lemon in it.....server chatting with another table for way too long without any concern about the other customers. One bartender behind the bar ... Good lord.. Can go on and on. Worst experience ever, and we were just getting happy hour menu drinks and food. Next time.. We will go anywhere but here. Management.. You need to seriously evaluate your performance and customer service. Pier 6 has shows all summer long... Surely you have had mad rushed before. Would be helpful if your servers were a little nicer and more efficient.

Food was just ok- nothing special and a platter of coleslaw was dropped all over my sister in laws coat and they acted like they hardly cared. No offer to pay for dry cleaning or to take something off the bill. Poor customer service to say the least.

Save yourself the misery of making reservations here. I made reservations for Christmas dinner. We arrived ten minutes early, ( as I was taught to do), were made to stand for 30 minutes, and then, when I asked to be seated, were told that we might get to be seated but would then not receive service for an hour. When I asked to speak to the manager, she complained that she had to work on Christmas. You would have better luck at MacDonalds than eating here. The staff never seated us, were rude, ineffective, and unapologetically incompetent. How can this manager still even be employed there!! A couple walked out with us with the same anger, having had their Christmas dinner ruined as well. There are plenty of classy restaurants down at Harbor East. Next time, we will eat at Flemings, or Roys, or Oceanaire. Run from this nightmare of a place. Terrible!

Great food as always. This was my second time here, but first time for the veterans day meal. Our server Ryan was great and we had a perfect seat and view of the Coast Guard Cutter Thunder Bay that made a port call. Will be back soon. Forgot how great this place was.

A totally disappointing experience. My wife an I decided to try a new place since i was looking for a steak we choose McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks. Let's just say we should have left because things started off bad and went downhill quickly. When we came into the restaurant the hostess wasn't at her podium but returned pretty quickly. We said two and she grabbed two menus and started walking us to the dining room. That's when another hostess stopped her, said something, then said to us, "I'm sorry, but all of our dining room is filled up with reservations, but can sit out here in the bar which has our full menu." Honestly, that wasn't the worse thing in the world because the Orioles game, which was on delay, would be on the TVs so we said yes. So we sat down at the low top and started looking over the menus. 2 minutes turned into 5 which turned into 10 minutes and no server showed up. If it wasn't raining outside and we only had a small umbrella, we would have left, but we decided to stick it out. Finally a waiter cam by and asked, "Has anyone taken your order yet?" We were like no and he was like, I'll be right back. Three minutes later he comes back and asks to take our drink and appetizer order. We each get a drink and we decided to spurge for the blue point oysters at $2.70 a piece because well, if you ever had blue point oysters they are great. When he returns, he brings as some bread and our drinks. Another 5-7 minutes go by and our Oysterds come out. If they were bluepoint, they were the smallest, baby oysters we eve saw. They were worse then a bull and oyster roast oyster. We got six so we each quickly slurped down the small little oysters that cost us $16.20. $16.20 for a half dozen tiny oysters. He took our order and I order the Rib eye at $39 and my wife got the stuffed swordfish. Our sides were extra and I mean like $7 for mashed red pepper potatoes and $9 for sauteed mushrooms. The food didn't take too long to come out. I was thinking my $39 steak was going to be pretty good, but what i found was a chewwy, tough steak. It was cooked to my specifications of medium rare, bu the piece of meat was not better then anything you could have gotten at Texas Roadhouse or some other chain steak house. My wife's swordfish was dry and was average at best. Halway through my steak and girl from the kitchen comes out and asks me "Ribeye" and I was like, "Yes" and she starts to give me another one. I pointed to me half eaten rib eye and tell her there's a mistake and she takes the ribeye back to the kitchen. Overall the food was below average for the amount we paid but not terrible, besides the ridiculous oysters which were probably not real blue point. Now here comes the fun part, the bill comes over and I glance at the itemized list and thought it said $120 which seemed about right. I give him my card and he comes back and gives me a non itemized bill of $178. Doing quick math in my head this doesn't add up so i ask him for the itemized bill. Well when he comes back it becomes real easy to find the problem, remember that other ribeye they try to bring me, well they charged me for two $39 ribeyes. I call the waiter back and he goes, "Oh, they were supposed to take that off." He takes the check back and about five minutes later, he comes back with a new check. I look over it again because now I have no trust, and sure enough they tried to charge me $6 for something I didn't order. We ask for a manager and manager goes over and fixes the check. when he comes back he says a quick little "sorry for that" and takes off. So if you enjoy overcooked, average food, servers that can't get your bill right, and and overall confused staff and unapologetic managers, then this is your place to go. For us, we made a $150 mistake on our special date night.

My family did not have to wait long. We were seated quickly and our waiter was very nice and he recommend what was good on the menu, the entrees we pick was delicious we were very pleased. Especially coming from a parade in Washington DC and that was our first time eating at McCormick & Schmucks.

Happy Hour was absolutely great a lot of choices Monday through Friday it run in the bar.. the only anything I'll say service was great but we were in the middle of a server change over and I think our new server just wasn't sure what his table was but great dinner great time beautiful views definitely will go again

Stuffed mushroom appetizer was the best thing I ordered! I understand it is restaurant week and their best food isn't on that menu. With that said, disappointed in their crab cake, but stuffed shrimp were good. Tiffany was nice and attentive.

Our evening was excellent. Food was delicious. Rebecca was our server and she was absolutely awesome. She was so cheerful and has such an great personality. She really made our night even more enjoyable! Plus, we sat outside and had a wonderful view of the fireworks in the Harbor.

The service was terrible! Took 1.5hrs to get our main course and we had school aged children. When food arrived it was cold, tasted mediocre and the portions were small. Don’t be fooled by the pretty decorations and high prices, this restaurant is NOT worth it

The restaurant was very nice there is plenty of space around the tables for seating, the staff was very friendly, the service was very fast and the food was prepared as ordered.
