Recently had takeout from here after driving by for decades. Wow. The order was filled quickly, the empress chicken was very flavorful, and the rice fresh. I will definitely order from here again.

Update from my original review three years ago:
The last few times we ordered from Hunan Express, the food was tasteless. Beef was overcooked. Fried rice was dry.
Edit again:
We gave them another chance a couple weeks ago. I wound up with food poisoning after eating the shrimp with vegetables and crab Rangoon. They have officially lost our business.

I’ve lived in the area since 1989 and moved about half an hour west 10 years ago and STILL make it a point to get amazing food from this restaurant. As a kid I could walk there with my family for lunch or to go pick up dinner for my family. The staff has always been kind, food has always been awesome, just one of those amazing little hole in the wall places that really shine. I just had the most wonderful experience with them during all this craziness going on right now and they have solidified again that I will continue to patronize this establishment forever. Whenever I have a really bad day my husband knows to pick up from Hunan and everything is just better. One of Manchester’s best.

The food is great but they have mischarged me several times I wish I could give it 5 stars but the fact I tip in cash and card on a pick up order and they still charge me more then the agreed signed on amount if I come here again I won't tip any longer if they continue charging me what ever they want

We've tried others and they have the best sweet'n sour sauce, plum sauce, mushu pork, and sweet n sour chicken. Probably more that I can't remember. For delivery they have the best prices in town. Very nice esp owners and young man. We order delivery all the time. I hope they don't change a thing.
