Saffron is a hidden gem - the food is absolutely amazing - in my opinion the quality of the flavors is on par with that of a MUCH higher priced/higher profile restaurant. The chef is a true artist with his craft - trained by the best - and since it's a smaller establishment, many times you'll end up having a nice conversation with the owner/chef who will wander over to your table to see how things are going. It's clear he loves what he does. The wait service is generally good, relaxed & unhurried as a good restaurant should be. Brassy, hyper-punctual corporate style service it is not, which I actually find endearing and refreshing. So anyway, that's my take on Saffron, one of my favorite restaurants in the PNW. Go check it out. It's one of the reasons I come to Bainbridge every so often.

We've ordered a couple times and the food is okay. Not stellar, but not hugely bad either. Via Doordash, we ordered the dinner for two plus a side of gyro meat and actually had enough to share with our 7 year-old daughter along with some leftovers. I recommend leveling up the Greek salad... the best ones I've had before had a nice tangy dressing, larger chunks of feta (or even better... herbed feta), cucumbers, tomatoes, and a Kalamata olives. The salad we received had a milky dressing that wasn't very tangy, no cukes, tomatoes, no olives. The hummus was pretty good and very garlicky.

Disappointing food and service. For anyone that loves places like the Kurdish Kitchen will find this is a far cry. We were excited to try this place but were disappointed. The gyro meat was oily and looked like it was cooked in a crock pot instead of the typical shaved grill meat. Greek salad was old iceberg lettuce with watery milky dressing. And even though we were the only one there, we found it hard to find a live human to help us order snd pay.

This is the best delivery dinner I have had during covid. Delicious prawn risotto, and the Caesar salad so fresh and crispy. Prompt delivery. Thank you!!

I love coming here for the Turkish coffee! All the food I have tried has exceeded my expectations in taste and size. The owner seems like a genuinely nice dude. The only negative thing that I think could possibly be said is at times it seems a bit disorganized in the dining area. All in all I really like this place!

ve been to Saffron twice, now, in as many months. My primary reason for being there, both times, was as a hand drummer, to play drum solos for a belly dancer friend who was performing there that evening. However, as we were there during dinnertime, the wisest course of action, to satiate one's hunger, was to peruse the menu and find a dish that could calm the beast within. Though the dinner menu is confined to a single page, there is just enough variety to make the choices interesting. I can enthusiastically state that the lamb ravioli was prepared just right, and was a flavorful combination of fresh ingredients. Service was friendly and attentive, and the decor pleasant. The restaurant is located conveniently close to the Bainbridge Island ferry terminal, on the northwest side of town, and makes for a good reason to cross Puget Sound any day of the week.
