Streamliner Diner

Excellent breakfast, possibly the best we had in Seattle. I had the omelette with sausage and other good stuff and the.hash browns with a strawberry muffin (amazing) and refillable coffee, large portions. We took the ferry over to Bainbridge and out first stop was here, it was full but we put our names down and came back in 20. Lovely and friendly staff and great breakfast. Highly recommend.

New Review (August 2021) I came by on a busy Friday morning straight from the ferry, on the way out to the Peninsula. It's a very convenient place to stop just off the start of the highway, and I brought my Mom along for a strong breakfast to start our vacation weekend. The service was excellent as before, and this time I tried a new item: the biscuits and gravy, bacon on the side. Mom had the waffles with bacon and hash. We were stuffed and happy when we left. If I may be so bold, I would love to see a lox & bagel item added to the menu, as there is a lox-style omelet available that has most of the requisite ingredients. I would order this every time, not being much of an egg or omelet eater. Still, I would come back again as this is by far the best breakfast option around Eagle Harbor. Bon Appetit! Seems to be more of a breakfast spot with the occasional lunch, and there are many more items on the menu I want to try. So far I've had the french toast with some bacon, and was thoroughly satiated and satisfied. Can't wait to visit again!

I spent many years working in kitchens and know how demanding of a job it is so I usually don't review restaurants. That being said I took my daughter's to the streamliner diner this morning so we could do something special before school today. The service was good, the food came fairly quickly, the only problem I had was my order. I ordered biscuits and gravy which is a fairly basic and easy to prepare dish. There was just something not right with the gravy part of the dish. I rarely leave food uneaten but I want able to eat more than a couple of bites of the food. They would have been better off with a cheap canned gravy off the shelf than what they served me this morning. I'm going to assume this was a fluke occurrence and will eat there again because I have had good experiences in the past but this time was not a good experience for me.
