Hotcakes Emporium Pancake House & Restaurant

I have always had great service and great breakfast, even when they are busy!!! One of my favorite breakfast places to go to!!!!

The waitresses are the best, especially Jo, Sheila, Shilo, Cathy!! Food is really good 😋

Good Breakfast & Great Service!. This place used to be a locally owned Flap-Jack's chain location. My wife said it had changed hands to Hotcakes Emporium and knew about their other location up on Ditch Rd but hadn't tried it yet. We came by here this past weekend to give it a shot.

Our waitress was absolutely excellent! She was very prompt, pleasant, and jovial. She was very good about keeping our drinks full and ensured to check often enough that we were happy with our order.

My daughter ordered the "Chocolate Chip Crepes". She said they were very good and proof was her very rarely empty plate!

My wife ordered the "Western Omelette" (w/o green peppers) as usual, and thought it was pretty good. She also happily noted that the hashbrowns were crispy just as she likes and enjoyed as much.

I ordered the "Corned Beef Hash & 2 Eggs" dish with hashbrowns with a side of bacon. The bacon was crisp and good. The scrambled eggs were NOT slightly browned as some places do and done just right for my liking and very good. Like my wife, I happily enjoyed my side of unburned but yet CRISPY hashbrowns. The hash was decent tasting too.


Additionally, I wanted to try the "Chip Beef Gravy" and shared a 1/2 order with the wife to sample. Most places just simply can't pull off chip beef gravy much less regular breakfast sausage gravy without resorting to a canned version. The gravy was decent tasting enough. However, seemed to miss the buttery taste & texture of the true homemade version but fared better than other places we've tried overall.

This place will be on our top 5 breakfast places to revisit on the weekends.
