I just have to say, this place is always clean every time I've cane to eat. I truly appreciate the guy cleaning the tables tonight. I watched him wipe every inch of the table, napkin holders, ketchup bottles, booths....its hard to find someone that cleans like that in the restaurant business that isn't the owner. Props to him for caring and he definitely didn't go unnoticed.
We visited for the first time today. It was a very enjoyable experience, we will definitely be coming back! It's worth the hour drive for sure! I'd like to mention that the "older" gentleman cleaning the tables was super friendly, he went out of his way to say hi and give us a smile!
This place is one of the best I have ever had when it comes to burgers. The burger was grilled to perfection and was seasoned beautifully. The Root Beer is great, although a smidgen sweeter than normal Root Beer. My wife loved her burger, too. We are definitely coming back again soon! Would recommend to anyone.
Found this place returning from a Bill's game, great food and atmosphere. Gotta try the rootbeer!root beer!

This place is fantastic for a bite to chew. The prices are great too. There's plenty of free parking, a drive-through, & a summer ice-cream window. The staff are mostly young teens, but there are adults too. The service is on-time, & cordial, very friendly & professional. So if your in the area, stop by for a famous Tom Wahl's burger, topped-off w/ a amazing ice cream.
I frequent the different Tom Wahls locations for lunch while at work. This location is huge and very accommodating. The staff is friendly and ready to serve you with a smile. I usually get a burger and onion rings or fries. Sometimes I get a Junker Plate. No matter your choice, it's gonna be good. The root beer floats are very good too!
We come here often but with a large order today our cashier really stood out. He was very patient and kind with our group of children as we stumbled through our order. Accommodating to make sure we got the best value and walked our order right to us before our buzzer even went off which made the experience feel more personal despite how busy it was. Thank you employee 1011(wish I had caught his name but the number was on the receipt)
Travelled to the area to visit family. HAD to make a stop for dinner 2 times in 3 days to get our full of THE BEST burgers anywhere. At home, I am just a mustard and mayo fan, but at Tom Wahl’s? I get it ALL THE WAY! The hot sauce is like no other, get some on the side for dipping the fries. If you like Root Beer, ask for a frosty mug. They make their own root beer and it is soooo tasty. And I am not much of a soda drinker. But when you are in Avon, NY and you think this is a small town with not much … just remember they have Tom Wahl’s and your town doesn’t!
This place is gigantic for one. The service is very good, top tier! Throughout the time I was there, multiple employees were walking around, making sure dining area was clean. The food is absolutely delicious! The Wahl burger with jalapeños and bacon mmmmm! Fries are great too! Be sure to ask for a cold mug for your root beer!
Extremely fast service as it’s very busy. Food is great! Loved the atmosphere and thankful for the huge amounts of outdoor seating on a beautiful day!
Tom Wahl's is a Rochester institution.
The handmade burgers are always amazing. Their Rochester-style meat-based hit sauce isn't the best around, but it is tailored to go well with the burgers and the big buns.
Of course the old school 50s dinner vibe just says chill. The jukebox with the era's bubblegum pop playing adds to that whole feel.
