China Family At Highlands

Saw the ratings and wanted to try. I thought prices were a little high compared to most casual Chinese spots, but wow is it justified! I ordered a green bean and eggplant, extra spicy. Perfectly flavored, very large portion. Also had a kirin beer. Service was fast and good. Will definitely be coming back.

Great food, great service, very friendly stuff😊 Each plates are a little pricier but the portion is also very much more so in the end, it is a great deal! You order a plate and it comes with unlimited rice too. Haha I really liked the place! Will come back for sure😋😋😋 I should've taken better pictures and in the end, since did was so good, I forgot to take pictures of other plates🥲

My favorite Chinese restaurant of all time is The House of Three Gorges so I have a tendency to compare other Chinese food to theirs. Maybe not fair since it is my favorite. They are closed on Mondays so we gave China Family restaurant a try. Despite a review of the chicken being small pieces, dry, and mostly batter, my husband tried the sesame chicken and LOVED it. And he is super picky. Yeah, it’s a little on the pricey side but they have huge portions (enough for two meals). It wasn’t dry, the pieces were just right, and the flavor was great. We also had egg rolls and those were yummy too. I got the eggplant in garlic sauce which wasn’t my favorite. Not spicy at all (I think it differs from each place), didn’t pick up on any garlic, and was sort of tangy. Also, sweet which I think is normal. Would try something different next time. Our order was ready when they said it would be. Friendly service at the front of house.
