We stopped by a couple weeks back when we went to the Barton Springs Pool on vacation and had dinner. Some of the best thai that I've had. Definitely rivals that of Thai Gourmet here in Houston, and food came from a trailer to boot! Thanks for the awesome food and hospitality guys, best of luck to y'all in the future!

Coat & Thai moved from their e 6th st location to the Picnic 1720 Barton Springs Rd but it's still the same crew and same great quality. Still home to my favorite pad thai in Austin, and they're not afraid to make a dish 5-alarm "Thai-level spicy" if you dare. Other family favorites are the Yellow Curry and Pineapple Fried Rice.

When you’ve had enough tacos and BBQ, one must come here to cleanse the palate. The pad Thai is flavorful and delicious. Really great for a food truck and it’s near Barton Springs so perfect for an after swim meal. The egg rolls weren’t anything special but I’m still giving them five stars because I needed something that wasn’t too heavy. It was also hopping. Most people were favoring this food truck over the others in the same area. Plenty of places to park and eat. But these mangy birds are also loving the area and that was annoying.

Excited that they’re open everyday now! But on our last visit on 8/22 our food was off. The pad Thai was dry in some places & the tofu was unseasoned and a bit sour. I couldn’t even finish it - which has never been a problem before. The pad see ew was burnt and although we like charred it was inedible. I can bring myself to go down anymore in stars cause we adore the owners but we’re just disappointed and unsatisfied

Great tasting thai food. And quantity per dish is better than most restaurants. So good portions. We got pad Thai with tofu and no eggs. They kept peanuts separately so that it can remain crunchy when we put it on top when we eat. That’s so thoughtful. We also got pineapple fried rice which almost tasted like Indian style fried rice but with pineapples so that was delicious as well. Amazing plus point - we got our order ready within just few minutes like barely 5 minutes and it was fresh , hot and delicious. Thai tea was good too. Overall good food for money.

The Picnic park has a nice vibe and the food at Coat and Thai was awesome! Service was quick and polite. I ordered the N2 with chicken and it has just the right amount of spices/heat. It was delicious.. Definitely will be returning

Best value Thai food in Austin, in my opinion. The portions are amazing and the food is flavored extremely well. They have all the classic Thai dishes: we got the Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, and Pad See Ew, as well as the Crab Ran Goons. Everything is delicious, and more so each dish has a distinct taste from one another, so it doesn’t all taste the same. It’s a very busy food truck, but they still manage to get their food out fast! Great service and I highly recommend for authentic, reasonably priced Thai cuisine.

Came to Coat & Thai after looking for a good food truck park while visiting Austin. The food smelled amazing while walking by and browsing all the trucks. Ordered the Pad Thai since it's common dish as Thai restaurants, so gives you a good comparison measure. Also ordered the Spring Roll Shrimp and a few of the fruit drinks in a can. Prices were very fair and cheaper than most restaurants. Staff was very nice and friendly when placing the order. After about 10 minutes, they called my name to pick up the order. Food was packed nicely with the Pad Thai in a foil bowl with the peanuts packed separately. Spring Rolls were also packed neatly in their own container. Pad Thai and the Spring Rolls were both freshly made and presented nicely. Pad Thai was good, but I should've inquired if you had a choice of spice as it wasn't spicy at all. Noodles were cooked just right with a nice mix of green onions, sprouts, chicken, and peanuts. Spring Rolls tasted very fresh with large shrimp and fresh vegetables. They provided sriracha sauce and peanut sauce for the Shrimp Rolls.

Possibly the best Thai yellow curry I’ve ever had. The chicken Pad Thai was also excellent. The iced coffee was delicious and had just the right balance of milk to coffee and ice. My only warning is that the temperature at which the food is served is HOT. I burned my fingers trying to open the lid of the curry container and the liquid inside was scalding. Highly recommended for authentic Thai food at good prices.

Wow! It's true this is the best pad thai I've had in while! Definitely the best I've had in Austin! I ordered chicken pad thai and crab rangoons. Both were exceptional. If you like great pad thai this place should scratch your itch. So curious what else is delicious here??

Good price for a ton of good food. Got the basil chicken with rice, and the guy made it actually spicy. I couldn't even finish half of what they gave me, which is unbelievably rare. They have spice powder on the side too, like any authentic Thai restaurant should. Parking wasn't bad. Because it's a food truck, you gotta eat outside on the bench in the sun unless you're taking it to go.

I had a great time here. Portions were satisfying, flavors were great. American style Thai food but definitely still yummy. Definitely would get the shrimp over chicken pad Thai. Spent about 24 dollars for 2 appetizers and an entree
