Long Play Lounge

Recently moved to Austin and was looking for a cool hang out when I got here. I googled cool Austin bars and The Long Play Lounge came up. Google was not wrong. This an awesome little joint. Interior is cozy and they have plenty of outdoor seating. The bar staff are very friendly and even offered suggestions for a few other cool bars around the area.They have a pretty decent old fashioned on tap although i usually drink my whiskey straight. The music Playlist is awesome. If you're in town visiting, new here, or just haven't experienced The Long Play Lounge yet, you should.

Great place. Friendly staff. Stiff drinks. This was my first time at this bar, but I can see it being an easy favorite. The atmosphere was very relaxed and cozy. The staff were very accommodating with preparation and suggestions for mocktails. Will definitely be back. Parking is pretty limited, so be sure to ask for alternative locations to park if their lot is full.

Great location with several sorted drinks and food. They have a big collection of vinyls playing all day long, great sound quality! Indoor AC and outdoor patio if you have a pet with you. You do have to order drinks inside. Friendly staff ready to take your order. This is is a perfect location for ending the night before midnight. Close to several bus routes (1, 7, 300, 350 especially) and the train inside Midtown Commons if you need to head Downtown.
