The place was dark and sort of dirty, the music was obnoxious (and too loud) and the clientele in my experience was the worst in Austin nightclub history. I am pretty glad that they closed. While the bar guy was friendly and very cute (as it happens, there were probably more than one) I was never able to ever get past the name. The Mar-Q? Q? Arughhhh...

The Marq is meh! Last time I was here there were unisex bathrooms which gives you the "Ally McBeal" feel. The Marq has booths and couches located around the bar. I think the drinks are a little overpriced, but the bar states it has exotic drinks. When I passed by on September 10, 2011, I believe the bar supports the Pittsburgh Steelers since there is a banner above the bar (See uploaded picture).

This place is now called Geisha Lounge. Has a red theme. Looks pretty cool. Like how you can have a drink on the patio and people watch. Typical drinks, nothing special. Bartenders are nice.
