Step 1. Eat poke at some mall food court. Step 2. Determine that poke sucks. Step 3. Don't eat poke for like 2 years. Step 4. Eat poke here. Step 5. Find out that you've been wasting two years not eating poke.

First time trying poke, and it was great! Light and fresh. Plus the company name and menu was exciting and different.

Don't let the name fool you; while Poke Me Long Time has a whimsical name, they take their food seriously! I've been frequenting this spot for about a year now and Kevin and Sherilyn, the owners (yeah it's a family owned business, how about that?!) not only make some delicious poke, but they also work really hard to create an inviting neighborhood atmosphere. I recommend the poke "missionary style" but really any way you go, you can't go wrong! The flavors are on point, and the tuna is fresh and delicate, and quality can't be beat for the price. I love how the fatty, spicy mayo pairs with the tuna and brings it to the next level, just in time for a bite of ripe, sweet mango to round things out all while the fresh, clean cucumber cuts through all the flavors and resets your palate for the next bite. I recently tried their vegan dumplings for the first time, and was pleasantly surprised to find that they use local produce from the farmer's market (like mushrooms and scallions) to make these tasty little bad boys--their food game is on point! The only mistake you can make here is by not eating here more often!

Great staff, great food and good music! Yes, price is a little high but we are just trying to make it in the world. Besides , it’s raw fish and a healthy meal where is that cheap these days?? I will pay the money to good hard working people any time! Love the pumpkins in October. Last but not least, LOVE the name and that the items on the menu coincide with it lol!!

Fresh, delicious, authentic poke, if just a bit expensive. But, it's fine, because you should never go cheap on raw fish! JR ("junior"), the manager, has been awesome since the first day I went there and will always take care of you. The owners Sherilyn and Kevin are also great. Highly recommended.

Have been to poke me long time a couple times now and tried both the missionary and doggy style bowls. I definitely appreciate the truck bringing poké to the east side but after my second visit, it leaves a lot to be desired. I came pretty hungry and ordered the large bowl and I could honestly tell no difference in the quantity of food compared to the small. Pretty disappointing after spending $17... The rice they use is a long grain non sticky rice which seems a little out of place in the dish. Overall the flavor is good and will work in a pinch, but order the small and don't expect expect to be blown away.

This was by far one of the best things I've dined on in the last 3-4months! The guy and his girl who made it were absolutely adorable and made you feel welcomed at their truck, and were up for helpful suggestions. The food was fresh and the environment was cool.

Great poke. A taste of Oahu in Eastern Austin, this American bistro is a great hangout with a flare of Hawaii-Japano Cali Cuisine!

I got the doggy style bowl, and it brought spicy, Latin flavor to this loved Asian dish. The fish was fresh and flavorful along with the other ingredients. Portions are a fair size for what you're paying. It was very delicious and I was left eating every grain of rice. The owner was actually running the truck and made our food. He was a very genuine person and really cared about the community and his business. Support local businesses and eat here!

This was my first time to have poke and it was delicious! Everything was so fresh and the different flavors blended perfectly! They helped us customize our bowls for our very different tastes and were just lovely people in general. Get the tuna! Yum!Already planning our next trip!
