The food is better than ever. And I've been coming here for 10 years. Service is always friendly and fast. I don't come here for the atmosphere although I've learned a lot about Mexican wrestling on the loud TVs that are always playing.

Local, with one server, who frequently checked on us. The chips and tortillas were hot, the beer and salsa cold, the cocktail sauce mild with a large serving of hot sauce on the side. We had a tilapia fillet and a whole tilapia, both with little apparent seasoning. The fries were limp but the rice was soft and moderately seasoned. We were one of two occupied tables at 2PM on a Sunday.
Delicious food with my family... Had the gorditas..they are small but pack a punch. Couldn't finish it.
My favorite place to go to for authentic Mexican food my favorite to get a chicken fajita plate and chicken quesadilla. When it comes to the sauces and hot sauce they have the best the green sauce is the real stuff and it's hot
This is a wonderful, non-flashy Mexican restaurant we discovered after visiting a local wine bar. Decided to check it out. Walked in and there were no silly outfits or a hostess with a flower in her hair (like at major chain restaurants). Instead we had a very nice woman who took is to a booth. This is a genuine, plain, take a seat restaurant.
We received chips and salsa and learned the green salsa is hotter than red--so we stuck with it. It had a solid degree for fire to please your tongue.
We ordered the 5 mini tacos. They had great corn tortillas; the grilled bulbed onion was very tasty. Both al pastor and beef were seasoned well. Definitely recommend this meal.
We also had the grilled chicken quesadilla. The tortilla was wonderful, but the cheese wasn't fully melted. The chicken was cooked well, but was plain tasting. Overall it was rather disappointing.
Our entire experience was very good, so we plan on returning and trying other dishes.
4/5 because of lack of parking designation areas. It could get confusing if the place was busy. Corn tortilla side is 2 tortillas. I tried the red ribs and they were delicious 🤤. Avocado is spicier than the red sauce that is brought out with the complimentary chips. The quesadilla was huuuge! Authentic Mexican place with variety of Mexican specialty dishes.
Your basic Mexican Restaurant. On the plus side they had horchata and their beef enchiladas were good along with the rice and beans it comes with. The downside, it was not roomy. A booth can seat four but you would be real close to each other. The staff are friendly and speak both spanish and english. Good place to go out.
Great place for breakfast & lunch! Gorditas with beef fajitas were delicious & filling! The fajita meat was so tender & flavorful and menudo was also tender & spicy! Will have to go back again!
Betos is the real deal. Great Tex-Mex. I had chicken and steak tacos, as well as a burrito plate with rice and beans. Everything was pretty good! The cheese that they layered the burrito with was a little strange, it was a nacho cheese I believe. The rice and beans were awesome though. Overall a pretty good spot for Tex-Mex in Austin. Definitely worth stopping by.
