The Water Tank

The type of bar & grill you go to when you want to just vibe and have a good time. Food is on point and drinks come quick. We had the Tejana tacos and a San Diego burrito. So good. We washed them down with the local Eastciders pineapple and original flavors. Might consider making them a weekly visit 😁

My neighborhood bar! It's older and has a darker broken in kind of feeling. I don't dress up to go there, and feel comfortable just stopping in whatever I'm wearing. I'm usually going to run into people I know there, especially on game days. Their drinks are fine and inexpensive, but the atmosphere is very relaxed and homey. I've heard their food is really good but never eaten there. Friendly staff and patrons. Lots of parking too.

Love this bar! Also love to see them making improvements to the space lately (fall 2023). Their happy hour can’t be beat and their food in house is very good! I’d recommend avoiding the neighboring taco truck, Super Burrito, we’ve had their food several times and have never been impressed (I think we’ve finally learned our lesson haha).

The Water Tank has the most character of any bar in the part of Austin that overlaps Williamson County. I don't know the history of the building but is clear that it's been there a while. It's dark and cold inside, even when it's 104° and brutal outside--that's exactly how a dive should be! Karaoke most nights, and live bands on the outdoor stage now and then. Love it!

I absolutely love this venue! While you can sit inside, you HAVE to go outside to the back of the bar. The picnic tables fit groups, and the bar gives great service. They have a menu with great choices. So there is no need to eat before coming here. I will note that the appetizers are huge!  While appetizers are intended for groups, these filled our group up. That is definitely not a complaint! Something else I really like is that they have 3 different cider offerings here. That was really nice to discover! A great plus is that sometimes you will be entertained with live music at the stage in the back. The Water Tank is a terrific bar!
