I'm a little shocked at myself that I haven't reviewed this favorite yet. We come here frequently, and the fish tacos are always a spicy hit. I've had their tortas, gorditas, chips and guacamole, and other tacos, and everything is consistently fresh. Their horchata is thick and creamy and will keep my husband coming back here forever. Great place.

Solid taco spot with good prices. Def recommend looking at the menu before going. (Lots of names I didn’t know what they meant lol) I was feeling adventurous and got the pollo quesadilla on flour. It was a hit. Oh and the queso was good but it was the chips that made it! The chips were hot (temperature) and felt fresh! A+ chips. Napkins are on the tables and water cups are to the side. I’m not being sarcastic when I say I enjoyed the room temp water station. It was a little warm inside, thermostat said 80. Since they give you a tip screen when you pay, I wasn’t thrilled with service. I wasn’t given any salsa but the 2 friends I came with got red and green salsa. I went back after the food was delivered and asked for some. Ofc! Service could have been better (overall knowledge of the menu and helpfulness) so not sure they deserve a big tip tbh. Still a great spot to get some good pollo tacos. If my friends are down, I’ll be back!

Black Girl Taco Chronicles sent Just A Girl From The 206 on a special assignment to El Tacorrido in Austin, Texas. We had Al Pastor, Bistec, and Barbacoa. They have some great tacos. I am giving this place a 9 out of 10. This is a classic street taco.

Ordered all this food for only $17! This would've been twice as expensive somewhere else. I got a revuelta taco & a bistec taco, both of which were delicious af and super filling. The horchata was sweet & cinnamon-y!

Vegetarians: their options are fantastic. While there are only a few tacos and a torta available for non-meat eaters, they were all so good that I can see myself happily ordering them anytime I end up here. It would be nice to see less trash generated from how they choose to serve/package their food, but at least they have a recycle bin.

I had their fish taco and al pastor taco both with their green sauce and both were good. My 2 companions preferred the chicken taco or vegetarian over the fish taco. if you choose corn tortillas to wrap your taco they will use 2 for each taco. That's good since one often is not strong enough to old a taco together. A major downside in our view was the use of paper plates and plastic utensils. It always seems to produce a cringe worthy amount of trash. Many Austin taco shops prefer to use recyclable plastic baskets or even better washable plates and utensils. We look forward to future visits to try their migas. Another plus, their breakfast menu is available all day.

Today was my first visit, the fact they have a drive-through was the main reason I went. Got the breakfast tacos - egg/potato/cheese, and egg/potato/bacon, for $2.50 each. I was kind of hesitant to get bacon because fast food bacon is usually hit or miss, but I’m happy to report the bacon here is awesome, it’s super crisp with the perfect combo of lean and fat. And the cheese on the egg/potato/cheese was all melted...so delicious. Check out the pic below.

Some of the worst tacos I’ve ever had. Every time I go here I hope I just stumbled them on a bad day……. Everyday is a bad day here, the bistec tacos are chewy and overpriced. You’re better off going to a sketchy area to get some good affordable tacos.

If you're looking for near authentic tacos, but don't want to sit outside in the hot weather at a food truck - El Tacorrido is the place to be. They've been around in the Austin area for a couple years now and recently opened a new restaurant location here on Burnet. I came and tried them for the first time and ended up loving it. The tacos here are a good size and very filling. The food came out pretty fast and the prices are cheap when you compare it to other places in Austin. What's also great is that if you want tacos to go; they have a drive-thru! All in all - I left highly satisfied and will be coming more often!

I’m almost embarrassed by how often I come here. I love grabbing a breakfast taco on the way to class or stopping for carnitas on my way home when I’m too tired to cook. The food is always so good and service is on point.
