Ihop

Thumbs up to the team that was there the morning of our visit. They were shorthanded, yet, the managed to keep everything together and got our food our in a timely manner even with online orders and non-stop walk-in customers. They kept their chins up and their humor going, deliverying great customer service although they seemed exhausted. Thank you for making things happened.

We all know Mopac after work drive time can be good most of the time and absolutely horrible on other days. I highly recommend just take a break and relax at this IHOP location. I arrived around 6 pm, started with an excellent English Breakfast Hot Tea. Then jumped onto a Zoom meeting that I had planned to attend by phone and just listen in the car. But I decided to use IHOP free wifi with my laptop, given the traffic. The waitress seated me immediately at a corner table with electric plug, knowing I wanted to use the WiFi. It was super easy to login, but I don't recommend to use your work identity on your laptop. I used my personal Google identity with my personal Gmail select personal. Wala. I could see the presentation screen, sign in for attendance and participate when the meeting was going into small group break out rooms. This IHOP has a large backroom for large meetings. It is quiet (during M-F drive time 4pm - 10 pm) and is very clean. After my meeting, I logged out of my meeting, ordered a salad 🥗 and did a little work on my computer for emails, then logged out and enjoyed my late dinner. My only complaint is that the raw, sliced mushrooms were not fresh and the avocado slices were a tad ripe for my liking. The salad dressing was fantastic. I will be stopping by another time but won't get a salad. I just wasn't in the mood for burgers or breakfast items. I might try a different dinner entre or next time be in the mood to have breakfast for dinner. This is a great meetup place for friends who live on the opposite side of Austin from where you live. It's near the parks and walking trails.
