Macaroni Grill

The service (to quote Bill and Ted) "most excellent". Would like to give a shout out to Scottie our server. He recomended two great meals for the wife and I. Good prices for a lot of good food. Along with Scottie, I recomend mamma's trio (lasagna was to die for) only $17.00 and more than I could eat at one sitting. Required a carry home container.

We have been multiple times and have always enjoyed the service and food. The meals are always served quickly and hot. The wait staff is always polite and its always impressive how they can write their names upside down and backwards in a professional looking manor. You can see into the kitchen and it always looks immaculate. The food , the service, the staff, and the atmosphere, is always pleasurable and welcoming and we enjoy eating here when the opportunities arise.

Very good food. Excellent service by our server, Stacy. Parking is plentiful, but very little right next to the restaurant. There were bottles of extra virgin olive oil on each table. Our table's bottle was almost empty, so I asked Stacy for a newer bottle. She brought an unopened one and cracked the seal in front of us. The Ceasar salad was fresh and crunchy. Our entrees were super hot (temperature) and delicious. Even the bread was delicious with a hint of rosemary. Very nice experience. Compared to some of the other Italian restaurants in Austin, Macaroni Grill will be my choice.

The service is hit or miss. Today was a HUGE miss. Ordered off of the 'Express Menu'. Took over 30 minutes to get our food. There were only 2 other tables in the entire restaurant. In defense of the waitress, it was not entirely her fault. I have noticed during previous visits (I had been up to this point, a regular) when a certain cook is there - it takes much longer to get the food. If you have no schedule to keep - good place for decent food. Otherwise, STAY AWAY.

We went for dinner a few hours before close. No customers there while we were there. Momos trio was bad it almost seems they cooked fast so they can get rid of us. Appetizers were extremely better then meal itself. Waiter was a bit rude when I told her something was bad and they didn't offer anything for the bad meal or tried to see what they can do better next time. I do t think I would return.

I usually take my grandson to eat here. He has Down's Syndrome and is Autistic so his food choices are very limited. He loves spaghetti! Each time I have brought him here to eat the staff treats us extra special. Jett absolutely loves the food. :) I especially appreciate the kindness given by the staff.
