Summermoon Coffee Bar

You can rarely go wrong with Summer Moon. I visited today with my daughter and I got the Christmas Cookie latte and she got the Toasted Chestnut. Both drinks were excellent. I'm not sure if it's because they were seasonal drinks or if prices hiked a bit in general but I really wish it didn't cost the better part of $15 for two medium drinks... sigh. My two stars for atmosphere are because I have NEVER liked this location. It's too big, too open, feels cold and warehouse-y. The layout feels weird and despite having a fair bit of seating it's always too crowded to stay. I don't even like going inside to order, I order online for pickup, lol. In all fairness that's more a me thing than a them thing... 🤷

Visiting from Canada and the lady at the front desk of our hotel recommended Summer Moon and we were so pleased with the coffee and experience we went back the next day! Delicious coffee and fresh baked goods. The staff was super patient with us and explained how the Moon system works and gave us some recommendations, which were spot on. I wish I could shout out the young lady who helped us, but I didn't catch her name. Thanks for the great experiences!!

I usually go to Domain Summer Moon but I’m happy to have found another spot in Northern Austin - in Avery Ranch. Today was my first visit and tbh I think this store is way better than the one in Domain. The space is much bigger and the store is more artistically decorated. I also love the fact that they have high ceilings and a second floor patio type of space to your right upon entering. This store has plenty of seats, both in door and outdoor, tables and high tops. The server I met today was friendly and he explained how they adjust the sugar level by using “summer moons”. I’m not a big sweet tooth, so I went with 1/8 sugar which worked perfect for me! Will come back again for the latte :)

Great local spot for coffee your way without the corporate brand. Support your local businesses! Breakfast looked good but not necessarily healthy. Was looking for an Egg White on Wheat Sandwich with white cheese but they didn't have anything like that. Wait was about 15 minutes for a Smoothie and Latte with Oat Milk. It was busy. There were 5 baristas working and all we're busy too!
