They don't have a fix location. You can track them down on their website. The food truck is normally on 3rd and Congress on Fridays. The food tasstes fine, not very Chinese, though.
Although there are quite a few food trucks around DFG Noodles, they grabbed my attention offering a free sample of their Scholar (stir fried vermicelli noodles) dish. It was delicious and I eagerly ordered without much thought. It didn't disappoint.
It is comparably priced to most trailer food at 8.50 for a large portion and was a great value and great quality. I will definitely be checking out their other dishes in the future.
Love the richness of the gravy here. Huge portions and consistent in quality. Not really the place for variety as the menu is limited, even more so for a vegetarian like me. But if you are a fan of rich gravies, this is definitely worth checking out.
Okay, so apparently, food trucks can serve good food. This is one of them. The chicken is seasoned, dish is well prepared. Rice was seasoned and very tasty as well (and I'm picky). I took one star off because the roti bread is really bad. Please, taste this bread and consider something as a replacement. It's really bad.
The food here is amazing. Only problem is, they keep moving. They were originally on Rainey street, then moved to the Boardwalk on Lakeshore. We called the first night they had service there to see if they were still open, and were told they closed in a few minutes, but would be open the next day. When we went the next day we were told that although the truck would be parked at Boardwalk they were only going to be catering for the next month. A few days ago we saw that the truck is now on Colorado. Hopefully they have found a home. Recommend the Timmy and Scholar. The pork belly on the Timmy is very tender. If you like noodles, the scholar is an excellent choice.
I visited this place at their food truck in Downtown (3rd and Congress on Wed. and Friday). I was very impressed. I had the noodles with pork belly topped with mild curry. The flavors are out of this world!
FYI the published location is not where food is served from. This is just where the food truck is parked. I found out the hard way after a half an hour drive from NW Austin to come check out the food, but it was not to be. I gave it 4* assuming the food is good. I'll update the review once I have a chance to try it through delivery.

This is not your normal noodle joint, these guys take care of business. Stir fried vermicelli, with a good sized portion of spiced ham and pork belly.

Best food truck in town, Hands down!! The chicken is to die for, Fast and friendly service. The Proportion is super filling, qaulity is out of this world. You can't miss out on this upcoming restaurant.

Finally, Malaysian food in Austin!
Located in the newish food trailer park on Rainey Street (which has about 10 different food trucks), DFG noodles serves various noodle and rice dishes that don't skimp on the flavor.
If you don't know about Malaysian food - it draws on Indian, Chinese, and Malay influences. Don't worry, the nice ladies in the food truck are eager to give out samples to introduce you to their cuisine.
I headed there with a Malaysian friend and he said many of the flavors are "pretty accurate" - so you are getting close to the real deal here.
The Malay (Roti Prata) - is slightly spicy brown curry with potato, served on a fried pancake. This was a quite authentic and tasty appetizer that tasted very similar to what I've had in Asia.
The Scholar (stir fried vermecelli noodes) was also very authentic and full of green onion / pork belly flavor.
The Timmy (glazed pork belly on rice) is a decadent treat that is quite delicious (when is pork belly not good?).
Overall, I'm really happy to see Malay cuisine in Austin. Stop by and say hi to the folks running this trailer and grab a sample. Even if you don't like what they have, there are 9 other options to fall back on. How could you lose?
