Short Stop

The drive Thur was not a long wait time, I had 3 or maybe 4 cars ahead of me, and the only time I had to wait was when after I placed my order. I say 15 minute wait time. Pulled up to the window and the gentleman repeatedly my order back to me, and exchanged the money for the drinks got my changes back from the money and he handed us our food. And told me to have a wonderful day. The gentleman at the window was very nice and kind ad respectful, which is why I would go back to the store.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Short Stop Hamburger Restaurant, and I must say it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that set the tone for the entire dining experience. The first thing that caught my attention was the inviting aroma of freshly cooked burgers wafting through the air. It was clear that this was a place where the art of crafting mouthwatering hamburgers was taken seriously. The menu offered a wide range of options, from classic cheeseburgers to creative gourmet combinations, ensuring there was something for everyone. I decided to try their signature "Short Stop Burger," which came with a juicy beef patty, melted cheese, crispy lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and a tangy special sauce, all sandwiched between a soft and perfectly toasted bun. With each bite, the flavors harmoniously danced on my taste buds, leaving me craving more. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and the attention to detail in the preparation was commendable.

1st time here after visiting McKinney Falls. Nice staff, good food, decent prices. Sign on menu said to have exact change or card to pay. Simple menu explaining items that come on burgers, chicken sandwich, etc. Cool that they have drive thru service on both sides of the building in opposite directions. Offer burgers, chicken, tenders. Fish on Fridays only. Bacon cheeseburger & fries were fresh and gave a homemade vibe. Location on a busy intersection by Whole Foods.

Every time I come to town, we start the visit off with a cheeseburger. We've got a couple-few places on the list of acceptable options and, so far, every visit to Short Stop has been great! Even when they're busy, and the line is long, they've always been very nice at the window; the orders correct; the noms YUMMY! The fact that there's no dining room to worry about, or public bathrooms to clean, or parking lots to tend to means they can focus on flame broiling those burgers to perfection. I am a super fan of bacon, so the bacon cheeseburger has been my "safe choice" for the first few visits. Tonight I was feeling chickeny so we got me a 5pc tender meal and shared. The fella was pleased for gravy with his fries and I really liked the crunchy crunchy breading. (He's got the metabolism of a teenager so he got a double cheeseburger meal, too.) The chicken was tender and juicy, and the pieces were HUGE. Like, where do you find chickens that big?? I know what part the tender is and these are really BIG. Absolutely a good value meal! I have enjoyed each visit so far and look forward to the next visit to Austin!

My family and I went to Austin for New Years and we ran across Short Stop hamburgers and I must say I was absolutely perfect. We use to have a short stop in my home town many years ago but they have all closed down. When I saw this one is Austin I made a few turn and I’m glad I did because it taste the same as o remembered
