They picked a good name, because this locally owned business is the embodiment of Southern Hospitality. The food is good, and the cost of a buffet is 9.99 including the drink already. The buffet is not huge, but it is delicious. Also they have peach cobbler, just for it. And the chef/owner will bring it out to you.

Unusually good buffet is tucked away in a corner near Highland Mall, between the Taj Palace and the Galaxy Highland theater. It looks like it used to be a Souper Salad and very little money was spent on ambiance. It's all spent on the food, which is fresh and delicious. I particularly like the catfish, fried chicken, chicken fried steak, black-eyed peas, mac-n-cheese, and collard greens, but everything I've tried has been excellent. Hoover's should be worried.

This place is such an Austin Gem, they work for their church so that hours can be a little off at times, but if you are able to ever catch them while it's open, go for it! They are really good southern home cooking. The people are unbelievably nice, they truly care too! The chicken is so crispy and delicious, there is a great variety of food, you should go a little later than noon to make sure they have had time to get everything prepared. This place really does live up to it's name, great Southern cooking with amazing Hospitality.

They have a great lunch buffet, open for breakfast and cater events. There is very little seating so might have to wait if you get there after noon. We liked the fried catfish and the mac & cheese. There is a small salad bar at the end of the buffet with plenty of healthy choices. Its about 10-11 bucks for the buffet and a drink. The only thing I thought it was lacking was some kind of cobbler for desert. You should check this place out if you get the chance.
