Ernie's On The Lake

We heard that this venue had reopened so we decided to check it out. We were pleasantly surprised. The food is very casual, Hamburgers, chips and salsa etc... Our group ordered burgers, guacamole and chips, fries and boiled shrimp. All of it was very tasty. The staff was super helpful and attentive. If you have spent the day on the water or just want to enjoy a lake view and need to finish the day with a great drink, good food and great music, this is your place! We will be back!!

We went for the New Year's Eve party. The band was really good. The buffet was fine. Prime rib was a tad tough but not bad for buffet. Fajitas were fine. The biggest problem was that the heat didn't kick in until later in the evening. 28 degrees outside, so it was close to 58 inside until 9:30ish. But then the band started and the heaters kicked in. Turned into a very nice event. And it was a freakish cold spell, so...

Beautiful view and the catfish hit the spot. After a long day on the water I was tired and totally forgot my Ray Ban sunglasses on the table then drove all the way home to Houston without them. I didn't realize it until the next day but when I called the GM said he found them and was even willing to mail them back to me but wasn't willing to accept money for his time or postage. Amazing service! We will be back for sure.

Ernie's On the Lake... I liked the burger, the queso, and the margarita I had this weekend at Ernie's. The service was very good, too. No problems with seating, or attentiveness to our needs. Kudos on all of that. We went early-ish so it was not too crowded. I went with someone with access problems. The 2 handicapped spots are right by the gang way to the restaurant which was really nice since the majority of the parking is a short distance. Also, the gangway is *really* level which made it much easier to get to than most places that we'd been to.
