My family and I had a stop over in Austin on thanksgiving day and had dinner here. This place was amazing. The food was so delicious and tasty. If you’re looking for an authentic Szechuan Chinese restaurant , look no further.

I love china family and it seems many love chongqing spicy chicken. Saltiest food I have ever tried to eat! I'll go back to my fave, hunan shrimp

I came here looking for a decent place for shrimp fried rice like back in Hong Kong and it's close enough, but definitely great! One of the few places that come close to the authenticity of the mainland!

Great Service! They’re always super nice and considerate. The Fish Fillet in Chili Oil and Cumin Beef are our favorite!

The food is great, I’m from Boston and Ive been going to a sichuan restaurant my entire life and getting the same fish fillet in chili oil. The one at China family restaurant tops it by a mile. The Chonqing chicken was also great, but I have to say best fish in chili in my life! Definitely recommend you try it!

The shrimp King Pao was FIRE!! And the fried rice was excellent was awesome HOWEVER, skip the Fried dumplings and get the STEAMED DUMPLINGS!! Those are delicious!!

OH MY GOODNESS!!! Stop sifting through reviews and GO HERE NOW!! Food was IMPECCABLE. I got the fish in chili oil and goodness gracious it is DELICIOUS. Yes, it’s spicy but it’s sooo jam packed many other flavors that I didn’t even realize I was sweating because it was THAT good. The presentation alone deserves a huge chefs kiss.
You can have a seat and eat your food or take it out. It isn’t some fancy restaurant that you take anyone on a first date by any means. But the Fish and chili oil dish DEFINITELY tastes like it came out of a 5 star restaurant. I will definitely be back, probably every week!

Delicious Chinese food. Hot and sour soup is a 10/10 and other dishes with the chili oil is amazing. Coming from Houston Austin food doesnt really have as many good authentic asian spots but this place is amazing. And this is coming from a Chinese
person. Its also right by UT.
