I always go through the drive thru. Food is good and hot. Employees are nice.
So many childhood memories are tied to this restaurant. .. I almost always get the fried fish. That's what I ate as a kid with my grandparents. I love the variety of vegetable options. Its very easy to satisfy everyone.
Not sure why people hate on this place. You ain’t getting fine dining for $9 😂. It’s a cafeteria style restaurant with a lot of options, plenty of seating, very good prices. When you walk in, you see so much fresh food, it feels homey, everything looks and smells good. You line up, grab a tray and utensils. Tell the staff what you want and your sides, grab your drinks and condiments, pay, sit down and eat. It is very full during lunch time, so schedule accordingly. I got the fried fish with the creamed spinach and mash potato and gravy, I also grabbed two jalapeños for additional charge. The food tastes good, it’s a very good portion size. I felt satisfied after my meal and would like to try different things next time! Total came out to be $10.58. I don’t think you have to tip but you can since they clean up.
My wife and I ate here today on someone's recommendation. There was a large variety of food selections available. Our food tasted good and all of the employees we encountered were friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable too. So this was a good place to eat if your're looking for this type of food.
I have loved Lubys since childhood. This is where we used to eat on Sunday afternoons after our meetings. Love the food! Baked fish and Mac?! 😍
Everyone was very friendly. I have to say lubys is so underrated. The food is really good. I had the Meatloaf and it was very good. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I would recommend.

The baked fish is just as good now as it was in the late 70’s.
I love cafeteria style and I love the selections.
I don’t love having a waitress that (legit) deserves a tip, I’d rather just keep the cafeteria style complete. I don’t love that I was rushed out of my booth when same waitress started clearing my dishes while I was still sitting there, clearly not ready to go.
This was at 2:30pm on a Saturday and lots of empty tables and booths. Just frustrating. Still love the Mac and cheese tho!!!
First year EVER eating out for Thanksgiving.. we were overwhelmed by the lines but things moved pretty quickly. The food was great (some of it was cold but still the overall taste was delicious). Our waitress was very kind and attentive ( Lily I think ). Thank you all for serving all of the families and individuals for the holiday!
I wish I could write a pretty song about sweet delicious Luby's. I crave the warmth of the Mac n cheese with mash potatoes sliding down on a cold winter day. Use to take my sweetheart here on our dates before he got ill. Funny story we actually got proposed here in the late 70's! Thank you Luby's for keeping me young. 5 stars forever.

Stopped by Sat Oct 8 for pickup dinner because husband wanted beef liver combo with corn, new potatoes, cornbread and brown gravy which was excellent and not available at other places. Daughter got salmon with mashed potatoes, green beans, white roll and brown gravy devoured quickly@ home and yummy. I had Angus chopped steak, corn, green beans, cornbread and brown gravy very tasty and juicy.
Lubys has always been a great cafeteria style restaurant. Fresh food at all times with so many options. You can go in knowing what you want, but always change your mind once you are in line seeing all the delicious entrees, especially dessert. No matter what you choose, it's always delicious. The rolls never disappoint either.

I ordered Luby's Fried Chicken Breast Combo (because they had N⚪️ Meatloaf), and it to came with two sides and a roll. So, I chose steamed broccoli (w/o cheese), and mashed potatoes; and did N🚫T finish.
