We stopped here for a lunch date and were not disappointed. Being vegans from a small town known for BBQ this rocked our socks off. We hadn't had BBQ in 2 years prior to this encounter. We will be coming back here as much as we can. We had the combo platter which gave us a variety of all they had to offer. Ya'll it was so heavenly. Put this place on your go-to list.

As others have said, the biggest problem with BBQ Revolution is the logistics of actually getting it. Slim hours, select days, food supply. They can cause disappointment for people that really want to try it when they are in town. But this food.. I haven't had anything close to authentic barbeque since my vegan transition. Visiting Austin, with it's reputation, I knew I had to get some, and BBQ Revolution was at the top of the list in terms of recommendations. I got there at 8 on a Saturday night, halfway through their hours. Sizable line and wait, took about 30 minutes of chatting with fellow vegans and snacking on other snacks offered for the fest that was being thrown alongside the truck. I got the brisket (seitan), ribs (tempeh), mac n' cheeze, and BBQ beans. My God. It has everything that great BBQ offers, but distinctly lighter due to being veg based. It was SO satisfying. The brisket is falling apart and sweet. The ribs have a deep, smoky, complex flavor and are very hefty. The beans were a perfect compliment to slather on each main, and great enough to stand on their own. And the Mac n' Cheeze. The best vegan Mac I've had yet. It's so amazing. All together, this meal knocked me out for a little bit, but not the same way that the weight of a non vegan meal would. If you're vegan and haven't had traditional BBQ since you transitioned, the food with give you flashbacks to previous experiences, but will also make you confident in your choice, as I can confidently say this is the most evenly balanced, satisfying BBQ I've had in my entire life. Just come here, if you can.

I love the bbq tempeh ribs! I tried them for the first time and was hooked. They are flavorful and smokey! The soy curls are to live for! The potato salad and baked beans are a must have. Everything tastes pretty authentic. However, stay away from the cajun corn, it's super salty and very spicy.

The all vegetarian menu was a way my sister could try Texas barbecue. The choices were comparable to what other BBQ places would have and the food was very good. Parking was small and you have to know where to look for it. Highly recommend.

I was really skeptical about VEGAN BBQ. I'm a Pescetarian, for health reasons, and love bacon for every obvious reason. My friend Kareena, who works there, convinced me to eat there tonight. I was totally happy. She made me feel comfortable about eating a meat substitute, since she knows I'd rather have the real thing but can't. The sides were legit and the bbq sauce and her hot sauce was on point. I couldn't ask for a more positive experience. Thanks doll!

Favorite is the no bull brisket! Best sides are the corn and the bacon ranch pasta salad. Very speedy since they got the new truck!

Food truck with best vegan BBQ in Austin! It's creative and tasty but somewhat overpriced-- especially since there's no seating! There's a bar and a coffee shop adjacent so they may permit you to eat while enjoying a beer or a coffee. Some covered seating is desperately needed, as there is no shade and the only place to stand is on the asphalt parking lot. If the bar and coffee shop won't let you sit and eat you may as well take it down to the park and eat in the shade at a picnic table.

Bit out of my way but the food was unique and delicious! I don't think you can get legit vegan BBQ anywhere else in Austin.
