They had a steady lunch line, and Bailey was efficient and methodical handling set-up of both of my sandwiches at once, and no mix-ups. Great work, Bailey!

Wonderful fresh sandwiches but the person making it is key! Hit or miss among the locations around Austin but always hopeful. The fresh baked bread and everything is always very fresh:) Parmer is good, usually Pflug location is great, just depends on who you get so be as specific as you can be!

Forget about Subway! If you are in the Austin area and want to grab a bite in tasty sub shape, try this small chain. Friendly stuff, fresh ingredients and good quality.

5 stars, not for being the most amazing thing I've ever eaten, but for being exactly what it needs to be as a cheap, fast, chain sub shop. Consistent, good quality, quick, friendly staff, decent seating and ambiance. Great prices. Good menu variety.

The staff at this location are very friendly and polite. I don’t feel eyes rolling or huffing & puffing like the burnet road north store. Food is classic. Please keep up the good work!

TLDR: exactly what you expect, and you get what you pay for. For food I had the New York Italian. The sandwich was pretty good. Bread was soft but just chewy enough. The meat was flavorful lettuce crisp. The whole nine yards. The thunder sauce really helped bring everything together. They have a selection of both Vickies and Lays chips. The location is a bit dingy. Old linoleum, faded paint, etc. but it was clean, just in dire need of a facelift. The people behind the counter were more than polite, so no issues there.

I donated plasma then came here for lunch. As I was ordering my food, I felt strange and passed out. The employees and patrons of this location stepped up and took care of me. I really appreciate everything they did to keep me safe and for calling an ambulance. I'm fine now and really appreciate the kindness and care. You all deserve a raise! And your tuna fish subs are my favorite!

Excellent service! I'd checked the menu out online before I ordered, and decided on The Popper sandwich. Apparently the menu online also encompasses secret menu items, so The Popper wasn't on the in-store menu. However, Thomas (I think that was his name, pinkish hair) knew exactly what I was talking about, and was even very accomodating to my requested substitution (actual chicken instead of the Nada chicken patties)! To top it all off, they were out of 10 inch white bread, but rather than telling me that they can't make me a 10-inch (like most other quick stop restaurants I've been to), Thomas took initiative, cut the ends off two 6-inch loaves to make them fit together, and made me the sandwich on that. Also, very friendly! 10/10, would recommend.

When it comes to good food and a comfortable casual place to eat, it doesn't get any better than this location. I worked around the corner at hobby town and this was my every day go to. Never got tired of eating here. Everything was the freshest it could possibly be and was assembled just the way I wanted it with care and pride. And the staff.... I consider to be some of the best friends I ever had. Do yourself a favor... Order a warm big paul and then relax and enjoy. Tell em Big Larry sent you!

It is hard to not like Thundercloud Subs. Everything they make is great. It is full of old Austin chill and every location is unique. This location is typically manned by two guys. I think there are three employees, but I always see the same two guys. They both are awesome and attentive. The food is always in great shape and the bread is always fresh. It is common knowledge in Austin, but in case you are not from here... If you want a good sandwich from a place that represents the attitude and feeling that made Austin so cool. If you want to smell and experience what it must have been like when they filmed Slacker here. Step into the portal that is Thundercloud Subs. On the other hand, if you are looking for a terrible chain deli sandwich with soul killing blandness, go to Subway. It's your choice...
