Very good Chinese food. The lemon chicken is all white meat breast strips. The lemon sauce is a bit lighter and more liquidity than what I am used to, but it still had a great flavor. The egg rolls did not taste like a giant grease pocket so that was nice! The crab rangoons were great as well. The staff is also very friendly.

This place is fantastic! Our favorite place for Chinese food. My husband and I go for the green beans and chicken and green beans with fish and hot and sour soup. We just love the consistency and friendly service, but mostly the food is delicious!! We frequently do take out too! I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't love it. Plus, it is a cozy interior with a warm vibe inside. And, my husband love the artwork! Check it out. You won't be sorry and maybe it will become one of your go to places too!

China Cafe is my FAVORITE Chinese Food restaurant in the entire metro area. The ambience is calm and quiet and the prices are great. They have a lunch menu with some of the more popular selections but you can always order from the regular menu. The service is outstanding. The staff have always been very friendly and welcoming whenever I have dined here. I’ve never had to ask for a refill and they have been able to always meet my needs of having to change up a recipe, etc. Their sweet and sour soup is THE BEST I’ve ever had, anywhere. It’s a secret recipe comprised of different vinegars; very hard to replicate. I could go there and eat a large bowl of this alone and be happy. I have never ordered out from here but I can say I live in the northern suburbs and have driven into town just to come to their restaurant, bypassing several other choices of restaurants and Chinese food. The kicker? I’m not even real big on Chinese food so I am very particular on the Chinese food that I do eat. I discovered this place during my work week and I have brought my family here on my days off because I’ve liked it so much. Very good in my opinion.

Large servings of excellent food at very reasonable prices. The presentations are often very colorful and always very appetizing as befits the highest of Chinese culinary tradition. Accessible location with plenty of parking. Always enough to take home for another meal. Meryann is very friendly and very helpful. I am often surprised and somewhat relieved that this place isn’t packed at dinner. What’s not to like?

The absolute best Chinese food in Northwest Hills. We now live in Dripping Springs and make it a point any time we’re in the neighborhood to order take out. I always get the combo fried rice and I make it spicy! Mary Ann always knows my order even before I say it! Very good service and generous portions too! Highly recommend. -AW

I absolutely LOVE getting dinner here. It has to be one of my favorite go-tos when it comes to grabbing something whenever the craving hits HARD. Hands down would highly recommend this place and giving it a try. I tried Chinatown North and this place I feel like blows that out of the water. Had a much more flavorful experience here. 10/10. I’ve never once been disappointed.

Hidden gem, away from the usual hustle and bustle, great Chinese food. Service is quick, courteous, and personal. I observed regulars were very comfortable dining at this establishment. We're sure we'd be coming back here regularly, probably once or twice a month or order that often via Door Dash. We loved their calamari, spicy chicken wings, and combination fries rice. I also just learned from a friend that you might able to order Filipino dishes if you call ahead - ask for Mary Ann, am told.
