This is our favorite neighborhood restaurant. It’s perfect. The people are fantastic, unique, and knowledgeable. The chef embraces seasonal changes in produce and has a creative style unique to him and the vibe of this space. Don’t skip a chance to take a moment of pause in this crazy world and savor the great food and wonderful wine selection at this unique spot.
The wife and I really enjoyed sitting at the bar at Aviary. Had excellent service and advice on what wines to try based on our preferences.
We like to restaurant bar hop on date night and this was our first stop and I wish we would tried more than just the seared scallops, which were beyond excellent AND we got to watch the chef prepare them! This was my favorite out of the other 3 places we tried.
Very cozy atmosphere and the wine we tried was great. We aren't big wine drinkers, so we tried the lesser expensive ones, but we were very happy with our choices. Ready to go back very soon!
Loved it! It was our first time and won’t be out last. Excellent food and fantastic service. They have an outdoor area though we ate inside. The inside is. I’ve and cost and the tables aren’t too close together which we love. Nice to not touch elbows with the next table…. Everything was incredible- the ribs, beets, burrata, carrots, smash burger, (we got two) - there were four of us and we split up everything which was nice that it was large enough to be able to split up. We tried almost everything on the menu. We got more but I don’t remember, but not because it wasn’t good - everything we had was superb. The wine list…. Massive. We let our server suggest and she did a fabulous job. Highly recommend. I forgot to get photos- only managed to get one of the carrots.
One of our favorite spots in Austin! Food and wine are both delicious and super unique in the best way. You also cannot top their happy hour! The burger is one of the best in the city and getting it for $10 with a half priced bottle of wine is a steal!
Oh my gosh, what a place!! The egg, the Burrata, the green beans, the Kampachi…. I mean- wow. If you’re the kind of person to just do appetizers, you cannot go wrong. The Redfish entree was amazing. My party also ordered Pasta, Frites, and others… honestly, everything was so fantastic and generously portioned, we all shared just so we could try all of the goodness! Highly recommended. Will be back the next time I am in Austin!
Sad to see the burger taken off the menu with new management. That was one of the things that brought us back here almost weekly. Really hope they bring it back :(.

Such a treat! Definitely make a point to stop in for dinner. They have a great wine selection and delicious bites. Loved the burger 🍔. Max was a wonderful server and super knowledgeable about both wine and food. Will totally be back.
This space is worth a visit for sure for locals and tourist. The food here is the star of the show. The staff is extremely knowledgeable too. I had dinner here soon as the doing menu came out. I really need to come here for brunch.
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaang this place is great! We really enjoyed it a lot. Superb in every aspect! 10/10 would recommend, we will be back :)
We had a wonderful evening at Aviary. The dinner with wine pairings was perfect for us to celebrate a special occasion. They are looking to start this on a monthly basis so keep an eye out if you enjoy these types of guided courses.
