This place has a great patio, interesting wall art, and an intimate vibe because of the faux hacienda roof. The mood is very good. This Maudies restaurant offers comfort food from South Austin and has a lot to offer.

The absolute BEST Pina coladas on special every Friday night!! Also love the barbacoa plate and the queso + salsa are pretty decent as well ....I still need to try the tres leches but Honestly tho the service puts them over the top - new favorite texmex 100%%%

Delicious breakfast food. Coffee was decent, tortillas are handmade and hot & fresh. Guisada was tender and migas were on point. Great first experience.

I’m from the DFW area and went to Austin for the first time. We were craving Mexican food and searched near us and found Don Dario’s. Omg, we loved this place! First off, we thought it was affordable in comparison to Dallas. Our waiter Pedro was Great. The food was so delicious and had very generous portions. I could only eat half of my meal, if even that. I normally don’t get a frozen Margarita because past experiences they had had very little Tequila. But I got frozen this time and not only were they Yummy but after 2 I was feeling no pain. I highly recommend this place! Please check it out!

Went for brkfst, fast service , we did arrive around 8am. Plates were really full,enough for 2 ppl. Food was kinda bland. They do have homemade tortillas.

We ordered Darios deluxe dinner... Taco, tamale, enchilada, salad, queso,rice and beans with guacamole... Appetizer was chips and salsa.. I was a little disappointed shell from taco was a little stale... But everything else... Was delicious... To drink I had a pina colada... Michael had strawberry mango... Loved the cinnamon sugar rim... With whip... I ate so much i couldnt finish it... Our waiter... Was awesome... Also a funny comedian... Great place to come... I hope to come again...

Don Dario’s is a pretty good spot, busy at lunch though, just a heads up. The bacon wrapped shrimp was tasty and good drinks too. Queso wasn’t my favorite.

I miss the original on 6th tbo the food is ok i just get the chicken fajita nachos now. The service could be a little better more servers less tables or sections it was slow and the service was just as slow. We got charged gratuity for 5 people 2 were children smh. We waited quite a while for our server to take order i go cause I'm loyal to an Austin original restaurant just wish it was it the same place. The drinks are always great
