I love this restaurant. It's a hidden gem and my new favorite happy hour spot. They have a Super Tuscany Blend (356 or 357) that's my now go-to glass of red . I truly enjoyed the roasted garlic on their prosciutto and goat cheese pizza. The grilled lemon for the calamari is a nice accent. The 12 in pizzas are enough for a date night. Overall, the service is excellent and the GM Josh's attention to detail and making someone new feel welcome is a skill I wish other restaurants perfected.🤗
Eat here...but not so much my new favorite place becomes too crowded.😂
In town for a volleyball tournament and found our way here. We are so glad that we did. This has to be one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. We had the Prosciutto and Goat cheese pizza. The first thing that you notice is the amazing dough they use. The center is thin and you have nice doughy edges to enjoy. On top of the amazing food, the staff was outstanding. With Jacob and Josh handling things behind the bar and on the floor, we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Had been there for a team lunch, all the food we ordered was tasty. As it was a first time in Tony C for us Zeppoles was given as a compliment,it tasted very good. Service was good and the waiter explained a lot of offers they have. It is worth the money.
***UPDATE***
Well, the word is given, Tony C's officially, at least in my mind, has the best pizza around. The combination of airy dough, artisanal ingredients, delicate sauce, exceptional cheese, and the coal fired oven deliver the crispy yet supple crust and rich flavors only available at the finest pizzarias.
No other establishment does it this well. Others have their place but if you want it done right, to perfection, go to Tony C's!
Thoroughly enjoyed their August Pizza of the month (without the spicy sauce - sorry purists, my palate doesn't appreciate the spicier flare) on a recent Friday early evening. Go early and no wait!
The Baked Mozzarella is also exceptional - thick triangles of fresh buffalo mozzarella hand breaded in Italian breadcrumbs, with a rich marinara.
Bravissimo!
***Original Review***
I finally figured out how to order their pizza to my liking. First of all, I'm personally not a fan of their cheese blend. They use some cool, exotic cheese blend that offends my bourgeoisie taste. I like good ole mozzarella, preferably real Italian mozzarella, so it's less about class and more about palate than anything. Anyway, I also like my pies simple...maybe one or two toppings max. Not the American style load up everything type pies. Yes, I am from the U.S., born and raised, but, I consider myself a bit of a contrarian - there are some things that I'm super "American" about and there are things that don't quite appeal to me.
Back to Tony C's....so, if you're not a fan of their blend, all you have to do is order a "make your own" pizza and choose "fresh mozzarella" cheese only, no blend... that'll do it!
The wait was short...less than 5 minutes on a Friday night at 6:30. The service was great. No staff shortages. Rachel was friendly, attentive, and thorough. And the pizza... perfect! Also had a coffee with cream and sugar...real cream! Delicioso. The Zeppolis are amazing. Pizza dough, deep fried covered with powdered sugar and honey on the side - scrumptious
Clear to say, we'll be back - Soon!
First time there and totally impressed. The staff was so friendly and patient with our group who was there for a birthday celebration. Buy one get one free pizza Tuesday nights. Delicious specialty pizzas. Birthday girl got a free dessert and the rest of us got a sweet pastry treat for being first timers. Our server was great and the manager checked on us a few time to say hi and see how we were doing. Will definitely be back.
One of the best pizzas I've ever had! The pizza was so fresh. I absolutely loved it, so did my family. I recommend you order the Chicken Parmesan Pizza.
And the Penne Alla Vodka, hit the right spots.
The zeppoles for dessert were just as good!
Apart from that the ambience is great and the staff are so welcoming and kind!
Definitely will visit here, next time I'm in Austin.
Loved it! We have been meaning to go here since moving to the area two years ago. Well we finally did it and it’s now our new neighborhood Italian eatery! The staff was super friendly and courteous. The restaurant wasn’t busy but the staff didn’t sit around talking to other staff or just staring at their phones. They would keep an eye on the tables and come and check on us. They would go around and sweep the floor or do other tasks when not checking on their tables. They seem like genuinely nice hard working people that you could tell enjoyed their jobs and actually wanted to make sure we enjoyed our time in their restaurant. Food was hot and tasted great, but the service was easily the stand out star here. We will definitely be back!
This place is amazing from the staff to the food you will not be disappointed! They have amazing drink selections, the Prosecco cocktails are a MUST try not to mention they have wine flights! & they pizza / Pasta is to die for. I am never disappointed when I go to this establishment!! Management is so personable and kind and really makes your dinning experience one of a kind. You’re doing yourself a disservice by not checking out this place!
Great choice if you like New York style pizza. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Seated fairly quickly on a Friday night even with six people and a toddler. Large wine selection and both draft and bottle beer at the bar. Indoor seating a little close together but not bad. Tried three different appetizers ravioli was great as were the fried mushrooms, calamari was just OK, seemed a little bland. Three different pizzas were ordered and all were great the mama Mia I had was just right. Staff was friendly and attentive. Give them a try we'll be back for sure
Loved, loved my Italiano sub-sandwich. And the garlic fries were so delicious. My Sangira was the perfect touch. I enjoyed everything!!!!!
