We were held up in traffic and arrived late, but got great food and great service. The hostess was warm and welcoming; she found us a table immediately. Tony kept something going on until our food had arrived. Between Tony and one of the bar-tenders, I was served a very nice "margarita azul" ( i.e. w/curacafood wonderfu )l.- wonderful.

Consistent Tex Mex, especially good are the beef crispy tacos. The queso and cheese enchiladas are also really good. Nostalgic flavor. The patio is good for doggies, too

Friendly and helpful staff that adds to the positive vibe. Prices are reasonable, and the value for money is excellent. A gem in the dining scene!

Very good menu selection and outstanding food. I've not had a bad meal there. From the fajita salad to tamales El jefe, it is always very good. The place can get loud at peak hours.

This place is excellent. Excellent location for a laid-back date, with a terrific bar and overall good service. This is the ideal Mexican restaurant in Texas.

This place has a great patio, interesting wall art, and an intimate vibe because of the faux hacienda roof. The mood is very good. This Maudies restaurant offers comfort food from South Austin and has a lot to offer.

If you haven't had Maudies, Sweet Potato Hash for breakfast, its' a must. It's absolutely delicious! Whiched I had taken a photo of my plate. For those vegetarians, you can just skip the bacon. Still delicious Rebecca

My aunt is a regular here and we decided to join her for her weekly brunch. The staff are amazing and the food was perfectly Tex-Mex. I didn't mean to be so needy but my waitress ran to grab every little thing we asked for without hesitation or even the slightest attitude, she was on her A game and our drinks were never empty! Great place to get together with the family

This place is a regular stop for me, at least once a month. Maudie’s is classic Tex-Mex faire that never disappoints. I like to get the Josie’s enchilada plate if I am here for dinner or lunch and the sausage migas when I am here for breakfast. One this visit we tried the queso blanco which, I believe, was a temporary menu item, this was a very runny queso that barely stuck to the chip. Otherwise the enchiladas and fajitas were excellent as always, and the margaritas hot the spot for a Friday evening. The atmosphere here is also pleasant… they have a nice porch, cool artwork on the walls and an intimate feeling due to the imitation hacienda roof. There is much to like about this Maudies location, it is South Austin comfort food. New note - the sausage migas at this location are much better than the lake austin location.
