We visited this restaurant for an early dinner and happy hour. The service was fast and friendly. We had the $5 happy hour fried calamari as our appetizer and it was some of the best calamari we've had. The entrees were also good. Overall, a great experience.
This was the best meal!! They are very knowledgeable about gluten free and offer so many options. Highly recommend it!
Italian Gem in Austin
Cedro, the Italian Scratch and Wine bar in Austin, truly lived up to the hype. The trendy decor perfectly complemented the area, and we practically had the place to ourselves, receiving exceptional service. The Mussels and grilled bread were outstanding starters, a delectable combination. To my surprise, the seasoned steak was cooked to perfection, and the truffle fries had excellent flavor. Even though I'm not a fan of Brussels sprouts, I couldn't resist them due to their delightful taste, thanks to the glaze and tomato confit. The Mediterranean seabass was flaky, and their homemade gnocchi with savory sauce was a delightful treat. The meal was complemented by a nice Red Blend wine. We also ordered the lamb shank and polenta to go, which turned out to be an excellent decision. In sum, when I return to Austin, Cedro will be my top choice for a memorable dining experience.
We saw good reviews online and we decided to give it a try. Great location, nice ambience. I had mushroom, arugula pizza and it was good, cooked perfectly. My friend ordered Spaghetti Pork Milanese that was blanched, broken pasta pieces. It came with a tiny cup of cream sauce and he had to order 2 more. Marinated beets dish is tasty and yummy. Service is good.
This is the place to have a nice Italian meal. New staff, the last time I went, but the food was still amazing! Service was also on point. James, the owner, is always helping his staff when he is here. The atmosphere is very chill, and the vibes are 💯. Try everything, lol!
After the worst day flying into Austin airport, issues with my luggage, rental car issues, and my hotel reservation had to be totally redone. This meal made it all worth while. The owner is very sociable with his guests. The atmosphere is simple, modern, very clean, but yet very inviting. My hostess, and waitress was Kristen. I travel for my job as Records Services Manager for a major international law firm and travel from coast to coast and get to experience great restaurants from city to city. I am highly. Impressed with Cedro Scratch Italian and Wine bar so much, I will be a patron them more than once this week I am in town. Thank you Kristen! You are the greatest.
Ordered calamari and pizzas for dinner, all the dishes were great. Loved the wine reduction on the fig pizza, tasted perfect. Service was good too.
I have been to Cedro many many times and always forget to leave a review. This is probably one of the best local Italian restaurants here. Absolutely everything is good. The appetizer, the dessert, the service. Today I tried their new plate with Sea bass and had parpadelle instead of Gnocchi. It was absolutely delicious.
Cedro is a special place for my family and myself and you will not be disappointed coming here!
Great spot. A little small of space but great food with great taste. A little on the pricier side. Not very kid friendly environment. Overall, very enjoyable time and experience.
The food and wine was delicious! Service was excellent and the restaurant had a lovely ambience.
We had the most AMAZING time. The food was great, and also fast too! Our server, Elisha, was super knowledgeable about the options, and also just really really good. Overall, 5/5, we’ll be back soon.
I got bacon dates with a lamb braised shank. Service was excellent but lamb shank was small and tasted a bit off. Plated very beautifully.
