Absolutely amazing! Nit like anything I've ever had! It Is more than a sno cone because the flavor syrup is already on the ice. Not as sweet though. Tastes just like fruit!! Soo yummy! We go by every time we are in Austin.
Had to stop in on our trip to Austin since it is so highly rated. The flavors were diverse and the price was great. I had the mango with condensed milk drizzle and my wife had the horchata with condensed milk drizzle. Both were phenomenal!
Greatest ice cream experience of my life. The owner was incredibly kind and patient. As my first time there, he could tell I had no idea what I wanted. He told me that I could have some samples if that would help. Meanwhile, there were other people behind me, but he served me as though I was his one and only customer.
I asked for an Italian ice pineapple/ coconut mixture, but he also has soft serve options. It was delicious, and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good service and a chilly treat.
The strawberry ice with chocolate soft serve swirl was delicious!! Went back twice for it 🤩 I absolutely get the hype
Really delightful, rich in flavor ice. It's very sugary intense, but a treat.
One thing, keep your wits about you in the area. There's a solid enclave of homeless that hang around this block in particular.
Delicious frozen ice, very soft and velvety but also refreshing fruit flavors. I was pleasantly surprised that the flavoring didn’t taste artificial, but every close to fresh juice. I got the strawberry lemonade and was so, so happy with that. My friend got the ice cream and also really enjoyed. We will be back!
Delicious, the ice is the best consistency, it's literally everything you want. I really love new orleans style snow cones (snow balls) and I'd say that this is different, but related. The problem with snow cones and such is when the Ice is too chunky and all the syrup runs right through. This does not happen with theirs. Soo good. It's my favorite ice treat in Austin so far
Jim's is a like a snowcone stand but with something called water ice. Never had it until a few weeks ago, and I'll never eat a regular snowcone again! Super Smooth texture and awesome flavor. You can mix and match flavors and add cream or ice cream to them as well. Staff is always friendly and happy to help. I've been at least 10 times in the last 2 weeks as it's near a building I am Working on. Highly recommend it for you and the kids if your near by. Only down side is there are alot of homeless in the area. This is through no fault of Jim's but rather the city of Austin's bad decisions. Don't let that stop you though, just lock your car.
This place is great and always has a few patrons waiting for refreshing flavored ice. We go here for the dreamsicle style ice. You chose you flavor of ice cream. And below it, around it and above it they pile on your flavor of choice ice. Pictured is the strawberry and banana ice with vanilla ice cream. Sooooo delicious. Worth every penny.
We love Jim-Jims! It's an Austin institution that everyone should experience! They're the kindest owners and their treats are delicious. I highly recommend the orange cream with ice cream and the dragons blood!
Totally worth going out of our way to try this place on our trip to Austin. I love snow cones on a hot day, but it's usually filled with the nasty flavoring with dye in it. These snow cones were so good and I didn't feel gross after eating it. Now I can't go back to regular snow cones. ;)
